Rosie to New York

Rosie was on TV locally the other day and said she is going to N.Y. to ride, probably after she leaves the F.G.....I know she hopes to be in the derby with Mark Valeski, she said, but will probably ride for Mike Maker as her husband JOE Sharp, works for him. I hope she comes back to the F.G., but i see her house is up FOR LEASE. So anyone in the N.Y. area be looking out for Rosie riding up there.

I'm going to go against the wise guys and say she does well here.

A. KY trainers are moving to NY, too. It's ALL about the money. But Affirmed, she rides in Delaware, not KY, in summer's past.

B. Matt Muzikar didn't take her book if he didn't think he could get her mounts in some big barns.

C. One well horsed owner in NY can help make her, and a big horse will do that, too.

I would assume she already knows she has some decent rides from the Del boys, or she wouldn't be making the move.

FWIW, I agree with everything you said. MM is not giving up CV without a belief he's got strong barn commitments for her lining up.

I know Rosie never rides in Ky., but she rides for a lot of Ky. trainers at the F.G. and does very well. So i thought she would go to Ky. to ride for Larry Jones, etc. and then to Delaware where she does well. I hope she comes back to the F.G. next year, but doubt she will if she rides in N.Y. She will go to GP, probably. The people here love her and will really miss her if she doesn;t come back. But i guess with 2 riding titles at the F.G. and won the La. Derby last year, i guess she;s done enuff here to go on to N.Y. She will be close to her home of N. J. and her family will get to see her ride.
