Our Feature Race
The 10th Running Of
THE BATTLE OF THE SEXES
Gender Challenge!
So far the FILLIES lead 6/3
But the Stallions are always a dangerous threat!
Winning for the Fillies:
DR JOHN H
ELITE MERCEDES x 2
DUSTY
RUFFIAN x 2
Winning for the Stallions:
CRIMINAL TYPE x 3
Unfortunately due to severe blizzard conditions on the Interstate, several runners failed to make it to the track in time and had to scratch out of the Feature Race
It has left the field with only 4
The horses are entering the track and
Leading them off is:
RUFFIAN
A very Feisty FILLY who often displays her Shenanigans in the Gate!
Jockey's often consider wearing xtra padding when they know they are riding
Although very inconsistent in style she has been showing improvement lately and will go off at odds of 10/1
In Post Position 2 we have
DUSTY
This is another inconsistent FILLY but one who can spring an upset in any race!
Front Runners Beware when this Filly comes a runnin!
She can come from last to first with a burst of energy like a Rocket
Never count her out until the last hoofprint has crossed the finish line
In Gate 3
CRIMINAL TYPE
The ONLY Stallion running for his gender today and the only one to have won in this series, having done that 3 times
An Older STALLION who shows NO signs of slowin down!
If anything he seems to be getting better with age - like fine wine!
He recently suffered a shin bruise when going down to his knees leaving the gate and did not appear fully recovered
Two Starts ago he won going away by 10 Lengths!
But after that race he was hurting again + in his last effort he failed to fire
He will go off at odds of 8/1
Leaving from Gate 5
ELITE MERCEDES
A very classy FILLY who tries hard in every race!
She never gives up and never gives in
She is fairly consistent, and tho she may not hit the board in every race, rarely throws in a clunker!
Her last race was one of her best showing pure style and determination She will go off as our favorite 5/2

Going into the Turn, CRIMINAL TYPE
seems determined to hold onto his lead with RUFFIAN closing the gap and taking over 2nd, with ELITE MERCEDES staying with her and DUSTY now trails...
