EXCELLENT! Thanks for posting!

Just a heads up photos aren't as good and some will have to wait since they are on a disposable, not by my choice of course. But because of course today of all days, my camera decided it wouldn't turn on! I am planning to take my camera to a shop to get it looked at when I get back to Colorado. I think it has officially died and gone to camera heaven. So instead I had to use my IPhone which does take great pictures itself, but no zoom lens is my main problem, and a disposable camera when I was afraid my phone might run out of battery power. Hopefully I will get those on a disk and on to my computer soon since they have a bunch of photos of the horses from the Malibu in the paddock. And please mind with the unveiling I was standing on my tiptoes towards the back of the crowd trying to get photos, once again would have loved a zooms lens but you work with what you have. I will start posting them as soon as photobucket finishes uploading them.

Kayrite, were you standing next to me?
I was playing Santa Claus yesterday and I felt like a turtle carrying my home on my back so I just brought the point and shoot yesterday.
I think John Shirreffs is having the time of his life (and no I didn't catch the hat)
The Last Ride
The filly La Nez

Thanks for the pictures. A picture/photo is worth a thousand words. Kinsella is a pretty gal, and that M One Rifle has a bod to die for. He bowled me over when I saw him in the post parade. A $50 win bet on him got us $405.

Here we go the photos from my phone are finally on my computer. Starting off with the John Henry photos took a while to get up close to the statue so several shots are from a far. Got a decent one today on the tour so expect that one later.
The statue with the brown tarp still on it.
A better shot of the tarp still covering the statue.
And there is the statue with the tarp mostly off now,
And there is the statue from afar during the ceremony!
A better shot of the statue where you can see more of it.
More shots of the statue as I begin my attempts to get closer to it.
Here is a shot of the statue up close though I accidentally cut of part of the head in the picture.
Another shot of the statue where you can see the head over in the corner you can see his connections.
Due to positioning of posters and such I wasn't able to really get any shots of her on the track but enjoy the shots of her in the winner's circle instead. Once again zoom lens would have come in handy.
This looks more like a shot of Mike Smith than anything but you can blame the guy with the camera in front of me for that.

More photos from the ceremony:
Hey looky I finally got a picture where you could see her head!
And there she is leaving the circle to parade around some.
Partially covered behind the Zenyatta poster you can see her and Mike Smith. Sorry about the angle.
And here she is back in the winners circle.
Another shot of her in the winners circle.
Yeah she was more than content to stand in the circle and pose for the camera.
Another shot of her in the winner's circle.
More pictures of her in the winner's circle.
Despite the fact that the photos are very similar yes they are different pictures. Zenyatta just was keeping in place for most of the time.
Hey she actually moved! Now you can see her and Mike's backside!
And she is leaving the winner's circle again.

I was silly and I forgot that the sixth race was a stakes race, a cal-bred stakes race but a stakes race none the less. So here are my photos of them then we will move on to the other races after the ceremony.
Here is Caracortado, Wolf Tail, and who I believe is Straighttomidnight.
Here is Killer Bear.
Sorry about the strange angle again but this is La Nez, Bud I Crushed It, and Tribal Face.
Another shot of Killer Bear.
Another shot of the filly La Nez.
A shot of Bud I Crushed it and Tribal Face.
One of the field member's warming up not sure who though.
And they are off!
And here they come by us for the first time.
There they are passing us.
12-27-2009, 12:07 PM
And here they are going by us a second time.
And here is Caracortado in the winner's circle.
Another shot of Caracortado in the winner's circle.
Here is the unveiling of the posters for the ceremony.
Oooh looky I found another picture of Zenyatta! Here she is galloping past us.
Got to go for now going to see Blind Side finally expect more pictures later!

More photos these are also the set of pictures I learned never ever stand on that side of the paddock when the sun is setting because it will get in your way. This is the La Brea by the way I missed the Sir Beaufort between other photos and standing in line to actually get some photos so I wouldn't be starving when I went to dinner. So here are my photos from the La Brea instead:
Here is Kays and Jays in the paddock before the race.
Another shot of Kays and Jays this time a bit closer.
Decided to skip my last shot of Kays and Jays due to the sun in the picture so instead you get this picture of Alice's Smart looking all nice for the camera instead.
Another shot of Alice's Smart where you can see what I was talking about with the sun.
Just realized how odd Dani Reese looked in this picture her front end looks a lot higher than back end that's for sue but that might have just been the way she was moving at that point.
And I think it is something to do with Dani Reese's structure because her front end still looks higher in this picture.
A shot of Amazed by Grace's front portion as she walk's past.
More pics later don't feel like doing the rest right now.

Getting around to posting the rest of my photos minus the disposable camera. Still haven't gotten developed.
Here is the winner Evita Argentina in the paddock.
Another shot of Evita Argentina from the back, beyond her you can see Amazed by Grace again,
Here is a shot of Starlarks in the paddock.
Here is Will O Way in the paddock before the race.
A second shot of Will o Way from the back.
Here is a shot of Minute Limit going by.
Here is the Acorn winner Gabby's Golden Gal from the front.
A shot of Gabby's Golden Gal from the side as she comes by.
A shot of the really pretty Rose Diamond.
01-07-2010, 07:29 PM
Another shot of Rose Diamond as she goes by.
Here is Pinkarella.
Another shot of Pinkarella where you can see more of her.
Here is the La Brea in progress.
Another shot of the La Brea as the field comes down the stretch.
And there goes Evita Argentina flying by.
And here is the field after they pass by the finish line.
Here is the gorgeous Kinsella in the saddling ring.
Not sure who this pretty bay is his number is blocked and his head band number isn't easy to read. Any identifications would be nice.
Here is some of the competitors in the saddling ring.
01-07-2010, 08:08 PM
Here is a shot of Square Eddie.
Here is Misremembered in the foreground with some of the other competitors in the background getting saddled.
Another shot of the adorable Misremembered a bit less blurred this time.
Another shot of Misremembered being saddled.
A slightly blurred shot where you can see both Misremembered and the horse being saddled next to him, his stablemate Mythical Power.
Yes I am absolutely in love with the adorable Misremembered.
And here is a shot of Misremembered now fully saddled and ready to race.
Here is a shot of Square Eddie.
Here is a shot of Malibu Stakes in progress.
Here is M One Rifle in route to winning the Malibu.
Another shot of the Malibu in progress.
And these are all of my photos of the stake race portion and the ceremony.
