So glad to see these two top 3yo fillies from last year coming back to race at 4, and they clash on the first race back.

Flying Cloud for me over 10f so long as Bin Suroor hasn't 100% Godolphined her - looked a real top notcher when with Fabre last year and won the Ribblesdale easily on her Godolphin debut. Not sure what happened in Italy but ground unlikely to be soft enough for Sariska and I think she can beat Midday if at her best.

Sariska looked quite powerful. A very imposing specimen. I was shocked to see her struggle to complete the final furlong as she did. It seemed as though she'd only widen her advantage but Midday started to get back to her. It's likely just the cobwebs of a winter on the shelf. Same for Midday, she'll produce better.
Wouldn't it be nice to see both these horses at the Breeders' Cup? Dar Re Mi is the only horse at the moment that could run with them in the FM Turf.

Another group of 3yo fillies are coming up, and these top class mares are still running. What else can we ask for?

Ken - Daryakana would beat them all

... unless the people of some of the already "proven herself" dirt/synthetic mares want to try grass ... sorry I guess I shouldn't go there. :police:

I don't think she would. I still think she has a few lengths to find. Obviously it's hard to say where the ceiling is with an unbeaten horse but I've not been blown away by her.

I've been very impressed with her closing runs - particularly in the Vase which was her coming of age in my eyes.
Been impressed with Sariska too and less so by Midday but both are Group 1 fillies as is Shalanaya (ran in the Princess Elizabeth in Japan last year).
Looks a good batch of older fillies this year for sure though.
