Forgive me if there's already a thread on this. I searched and didn't turn up anything.

Yes you're right. This is a nice little colt. Hope he sticks around a while.

Wetzel. Another Successful Appeal colt. He broke his maiden on first try, then finished 4th in a 2yo stakes. Don't know if he'll do anything else because all he knows how to do right now is to run as fast as he can as far as he can. He's little and cute as the proverbial button, and doesn't want to give up.

Why are you telling me to relax? Completely unnecessary and rude. Are you always so rude?
I don't know if you know the difference between William or Willard but if you knew actually Willard Proctor or anything about him you wouldn't make such a "typo" so to believe you didn't know the difference was correct on my part.

Back atcha on the rudeness. If one types a lot as second_glance does, some keystrokes become so automatic they're accidentally inserted where they shouldn't be. Emphasis on "accidentally". It was a simple mistake and YOU were rude when pointing it out. It was not an insult to Mr. Proctor.
So yes, relax. It's ridiculous for a newbie with a chip on his or her shoulder to snark at someone who's contributed as much to this forum (and to the well-being of horses) as s_g has for a simple mistake.

Newbie?
First off, dear (look! I can work the bold function too), I've been around these boards for longer than you could ever imagine. Clearly my choice to not come here until now can be validated as I was warned of the hostile nature of some people on these boards and the mob mentality that sometimes ensues.
Second off, I didn't realize that some people need their buddies to defend them. This was clearly a discussion that didn't involve you or need your input. Why you chose to stick your nose here is beyond me. So please, go away.
Third off, I didn't need or deserve a nasty reply to a correction that I had every right to make. I don't know that poster in question or if they knew Willard Proctor or that he has been dead for years. I was completely fair in assuming that person didn't know who he was and to correct him/her for the mistake. I proofread my posts and respect Mr. Proctor enough to make sure I have his name right. I offered no attidue or negativity yet I got nothing but that in return. And I had every right to be annoyed by it and by you.

I stayed on topic. In my initial post. Not sure why I had to be bashed twice, now three times. Two other people ran it off into the ditch purposefully. Not sure why but I hope they feel better about themselves.
I said that was a nice horse and I hope he stays around. Not too many horses raced this early stick around very long.

FlowerEssence - I agree with you, it is too early to be thinking about 2 yr olds racing (for me, that kicks off with Saratoga), but we can dream.
Based off photos from yearling sales, the ones that appealed to me are the following:
Actual Size - the Bluegrass Cat x Lady Melesi colt I mentioned before
Arienza - Giant's Causeway x Azeri filly, though I'm not sure we'll see her race this year, which is fine with me.
unnamed Bernardini x Love and Happiness colt (half to Happy Ticket)
Brock - Horsebagger mentioned him in an earlier post
Cat Myth - Hennessy x Myth filly (full to Johannesburg)
Date to Remember - Bernardini x Fashion Star filly (half to Eddington)
Dixi d'Oro - Medaglia d'Oro x Shiny Band
Ever So - Medaglia d'Oro x Clever Monique filly (half to Yes It's True)
Last Cat - Storm Cat x Justenuffheart colt (half to Dreaming of Anna, Lewis Michael, and Justenuffhumor)
Like Minded - Mineshaft x Fantastic Ways colt
Shadow Warrior - AP Indy x Victory Ride colt
unnamed Storm Cat x Farda Amiga filly - Farda Amiga's foals haven't really done much, but I get excited every year because they look so nice.
T Wolfe - Ghostzapper x Golden Attraction colt
unnamed Unbridled's Song x Goulash colt - because he's the last of Ashado's siblings.

I'm afraid the Bernardini/Love and Happiness colt might have a bit of a club foot, left front. But I'm not certain.
The UBS/Goulash colt is just a beast. Hope he's good.
I really like Storm'n Indian, Fleet Indian's first offspring. He has FI's oversized head and ears, but he's another impressive beast.
Definitely. He has kinda cooled since Elite Squadron and Officer Rocket in his first crop.
He has cooled but I think he's very close to turning it around. I don't know what his support was like this year but he got Marrakesh, the dam of G2 winner King of the Roxy.
Some of the ones I'm looking forward to--

Absolutely. I'd back Blushing Sis in that matchup, she managed to win her Manor Downs Futurity trial back in March, was 2nd in the final, and then won the trial for this race. The bottom side of her pedigree says sprinter, sprinter, sprinter, though.
I was surprisingly impressed with the Giacomo yearlings. They were real racy. I'm not surprised he's off to a fast start... I just hope he can maintain it. He'd be a really really useful horse to add into the bloodlines.

I am quite impressed by the way She'll Heir won the Cinderella at Hollywood today.
From TDN:
The Florida-bred made her way through traffic and, despite bumping pacesetter Rockin Heather (In Excess {Ire}), forged her way to the front and withstood an inquiry to maintain her perfect record. "I don't want to say what the owners paid for her, but she was worth it," offered winning trainer Vladimir Cerin. "[Rider Rafael Bejarano] worked her, and he knew she likes going inside and she likes running between horses. That certainly helped today."

No surprise here. There's a rather amusing clunker of an error, though:
Dawnie Macho may be moving on
The latest fast Wayne Catalano-trained filly, Dawnie Macho, might not be trained by Catalano much longer.
Dawnie Macho set an Arlington Polytrack record for 4 1/2 furlongs when she zipped the distance in 51.19 seconds winning her career debut by five lengths on Saturday. The performance, which earned a Beyer Speed Figure of 90, caught the eye of bloodstock agents across the land, and Dawnie Macho was in the process of being privately purchased on Tuesday, Catalano said.
"She's still in my barn, but I believe she's going to be leaving," Catalano said late Tuesday morning.
Dawnie Macho, a daughter of Macho Again out of the Montbrook mare Blush of Dawn, is owned by Wayne Granger, and has an interesting auction history. She was purchased as a yearling in Florida for just $5,000 in 2009 by Michael Costanzo, who bought her back at a Florida 2-year-old auction this past April after the filly failed to meet a $49,000 reserve.
After running out of the screen Saturday, Dawnie Macho figures to be worth considerably more than that.

But these are developing two year-olds. They could both have completely different bodies the next time they meet. Certainly keep that in mind.
Bluegrass Cat is off to a great start with two year-olds-he just had another winner at CD in an MSW named Blue Right By, which he did.

Dawnie Macho sold, headed west
A private sale of the 2-year-old filly Dawnie Macho has been completed, and she will fly to California to join trainer John Sadler as soon as suitable travel arrangements can be made.
"She left the barn yesterday," trainer Wayne Catalano said.
As of Tuesday, Dawnie Macho had not gone far: She was about 100 yards away from her old stall, stabled in Stidham's barn before shipping out west.
Dawnie Macho won her career debut here June 12 by five lengths, setting a course record for 4 1/2 furlongs and earning a Beyer Speed Figure of 95. A daughter of Macho Uno out of the Montbrook mare Blush of Dawn, Dawnie Macho was purchased at a yearling sale for just $5,000, and she failed to meet a $49,000 reserve at a 2-year-olds in training sale this past spring.

Tiz Liberty, c. by Tiznow - Leaseholder (this is the full brother to Tough Tiz's Sis)
Sneakers, f. by Storm Boot - Don't Be Silly (by Lord at War)
I met this filly and her dam in a field in Kentucky (Hurricane Hall) and petted them in July 2008. The dam walked away and left her foal with me to "babysit" while she hung around with the other mares. I joked that maybe she would grow up to win the Kentucky Oaks, and I'd be able to say I was her "babysitter." Don't Be Silly was a graded stakes winner on turf and was also the dam of Zany, who unfortunately had a fatal collision with Tin Cup Chalice.
If anyone has information about Sneakers (trainer, owner etc.), please let me know.

Astrology, who I have been very excited about all along, won the Iroquois at Churchill Downs. Makes his record 4-2-0-2 lifetime. He is still green as heck and gets in his own way a lot of the time. But being by AP Indy, out of a Quiet American mare, tend to think he'll do better with age and distance.
He broke his maiden impressively at Saratoga despite weaving out and then in (triggering an inquiry) down the lane. The colt he outkicked, To Honor And Serve, came back and won impressively at Belmont.

I don't know if that was greenness or just not being very good. Horse has not been overly impressive to me in any of his 3 starts. Do we call hosres that aren't 1 million dollar babies green or do we call them slow?

In Astrology's case, I really think he is just green and will work through a lot of it. People went "eww" about the time of his maiden win - but he was running into the wind, and over a deep, deep track that Quality Road went in 1:50 on a few races later. He's improved by leaps and bounds already. People focus so heavily on horses like Uncle Mo and Boys At Tosconova - precocious, brilliant, running off your screen. That might win big races and a championship now. But as a fan, I'm looking for a slow bloom, and who will run well down the road.
Brock's a big, growthy thing and I think they decided to back off and give him time as well. His debut was hugely disappointing for that kind of money - but I'm not willing to toss a 2YO off one bad effort. Give them time - especially when it looks like something physical is going on.

I don't think Astrology is very good - he's an AP Indy I just don't like. He beat To Honor and Serve in that one's debut and I said after that race that THAS was just a better horse. He is..............but besides that, I think Astrology is overrated. Plus, although he's by Indy, his damside is all sprinting; I don't see this horse as a Classics type

They didn't go "ewww" over the time, but most people didn't think he was the best horse in his own maiden race. He then proceeded to run poorly at Monmouth; that was not a very good rendition of the Irioquois

You might want to keep half an eye on Flash Mash, a 2YO Smarty Jones filly. She broke her maiden first out at KEE by open lengths, then ran away with an allowance today at FG. She won by 10 1/4 lengths with fractions of 22.01, 45.91, 58.17, and cruised home in 1:10.84, under a hand ride. In fact, she has yet to be asked for much. Runs professionally for her age.

No love for Comma to the Top? After an inauspicious beginning (took 3 races to break his maiden, with 2 off-the-board finishes after that), this horse has developed into a winning machine (he's won 4 races in 2 months). His last 2 wins have been on HP's cushion (Real Quiet Stakes) and the Generous (G3, turf). While I don't see him developing into a Derby horse, I can see him becoming a good middle distance turfer in the mold of Kip Deville or The Usual QT.

WinStar Farm's BRETHREN (Distorted Humor), a half-brother to this year's Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Super Saver who ran his record to two-for-two at Churchill on Saturday, came out of the race fine, according to assistant trainer Horacio De Paz. The colt will now head to South Florida on Tuesday with the rest of the Todd Pletcher horses at Churchill Downs. Brethren had one work here prior to his Saturday's win and his regular morning partner was exercise rider Kevin Willey, who served in the same capacity this spring with Super Saver.

“There have been horses who have run faster in one race than Uncle Mo. Stevie Wonderboy received about a 0 for winning the [2005 Juvenile],” said Len Friedman, a partner with Ragozin Thoroughbred Data. “But in terms of all of his races at two, I’ve never seen a two-year-old with a line of figures as fast as his. Baffert mention the San Pedro at 6.5 F on Jan 17. I notice that to about the pronounciation. I assume the track announcer got it right but I never heard it pronounce like that.
I'm sure Vic pronounced it correctly ... Or at least how his connections do.
He used to post on the Del Mar board asking for advice on how to pronounce names he wasn't sure of and I know he's also asked the connections too. I don't think he'd have changed the logical pronounciation unless he knew for sure he was supposed to. He researches that stuff and takes it very seriously. :)

ironmanjon ... Thanks for all of your great work here! I truly appreciate it.
I started following Comma To The Top because of a post of one of his races that you did here. :)
I was hoping you could perform your magic and post a copy of Robie The Cat's maiden breaking race at Hollywood Park on December 12th? It was VERY visually impressive and I think others might enjoy it.
Thanks ...
TTM
