Eh, not really. I was more a fan of the conversations we used to have - mocking Mags and the rest of the Coolmore group. I'm the first to say that Aidan's far and away the best trainer in the world. But I refuse to have fun with them the way I do with the Darley crew.

My understanding is that a "pony boy" is like an outrider - you pony the horses to and from the track in the morning. But that could be the total opposite of what he meant. Either way, I'd love to see a picture of him on a horse! :cheesy:

10,000!!!
How does one celebrate their 10,000th post? The truth is, I’m not really sure. This is fairly uncharted territory – from here on out, I’m boldly venturing where a mere handful of Thoroughbred Champions posters have gone before. *cue Star Trek theme* I came to TBC in my most recent incarnation on August 22, 2007. Before that I was here for a brief six month stint earlier in 2007, also under the moniker Silverbulletday, but very few know the rest of the story....
I grew up as that typical little girl who was totally in love with horses – I had more toy horses than Sheikh Mohammed has real horses, I had checked out every single book even remotely related to horses in every library I ever visited and read them all cover to cover, and my favorite ride at any amusement park was the merry-go-round, but I had no access to horses at all. None of my family members had any interest in horses and probably regarded my obsession as something I’d eventually grow out of – which I very nearly did by the time I was 12. That’s when a giant red chestnut colt with a gorgeous rider and a flamboyant, silver-haired trainer came along and stole the national spotlight. Point Given didn’t win the Kentucky Derby like he was supposed to, but that certainly didn’t matter to me when the Big Red Train came galloping home at Pimlico and Belmont carrying his future movie star jockey to the winner’s circles and into my heart. From there, I followed the terrific trio’s exploits until my beloved colt strained a tendon and had to be retired. That sad event paled in comparison to what happened later that year, which made my first Breeders’ Cup an exceptional experience. That day my eyes were truly opened – this was a world that revolved around the creature I had grown up loving. I was officially hooked.
Since then, I’ve moved to Ocala, graduated from college, and become quite heavily involved in the thoroughbred industry by travelling the country and working sales. I would never have made it this far without the help of a great many people and look forward to moving onward and upward with a move to the true epicenter of thoroughbred activity in North America, Lexington, next year.
Along the incredible journey I’ve taken here at TBC, I’ve met many characters, some who are very near and dear to my heart, and others who are not-so-much. Probably my most memorable contribution to the board has been the monstrous thread “Last Post Wins.” What the real point of this thread is, no one really knows, but it’s become a hangout unparalleled in the realm of cyberspace.
Afrashad has been my constant companion throughout the thread. Somewhere along the way, we’ve developed the habit of posting photos of everything from male models (http://i36.tinypic.com/15nlk42.jpg) to desperate souls (http://tinypic.com/usermedia.php?uo=%2F870he8EP9zTudMIFTa0rA%3D%3D) to complete nerds (http://i37.tinypic.com/bf4zd0.jpg) to wrinkly old men who are far too easily excited! (http://i34.tinypic.com/zkftsh.jpg) Right now we’re going through a bit of a rough patch since you’ve annexed Aidan O’Brien (http://i33.tinypic.com/j9pu14.jpg) to your list of boyfriends that already includes Majid (http://i38.tinypic.com/211rl9e.jpg), Colm (http://i36.tinypic.com/2lw3z49.jpg), Frankie (http://i33.tinypic.com/4qpfh2.jpg), Saeed (and his famous binoculars!) (http://i33.tinypic.com/2mo6yis.jpg), and that one apprentice dude (http://i37.tinypic.com/4hqovd.jpg), but we’re still the best of buddies. Deep down, I know that you’re still the diehard Darley fan you always were. Plus, not only are you the one who brought out my affection for John Ferguson – you’re the one who gave us the nicknames The Ferguson, The Ferginator, and The Ferg, and for that I am eternally grateful.
What ca I say about Carly? Gril, you’re friggin’ amazing with iMovie – who will ever, EVER, forget your Darley video??? Carly’s Darley!!! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EsDks-TZpY) You’re hysterical and you lighten u every single conversation you waltz into. And now we have the epic duels bwtwene you and Affy for half of Aidan and half of rankie, (http://i35.tinypic.com/ifbae9.jpg) which somehow add up into one person – this, perhaps?? (http://i36.tinypic.com/205fm6d.jpg) And you’re wickedly cool with photoshop – especially just after you’ve had the infamous Omani (http://i38.tinypic.com/2885o2u.jpg) at your house eating your pizza and organizing parades.
Commentator and Coronado’s Quest are relative newcomers to Last Post Wins, but they’ve become excellent contributors. Commentator is quickly learning the intracacies of the Maktoum family thanks to Afrashad and her myriad of photos, like the one below. Coronado's Quest has been an incredible antagonist - very anti-The Ferguson. Someday you will see the light, girlfriend!!!
http://i36.tinypic.com/27zm96x.jpg
Dustin, Dustin, Dustin. Most of the praise I have to heap on your handsome head can’t be posted here because it’d jeopardize the family-friendly status of my thread, which I won’t do even for you. Suffice it to say, we could lobby for another screenname change to "The Best...".
To luv, who never ignores me, even when nosepickers and pinheads are topics of conversation, you’re the only one who truly understands my devotion to The Ferguson.
mons, you’re the only one I break my rule of correct punctuation for, LOL! You’re a great pal, and while you don’t attempt to play a part you’re not, you are definitely very smart and a very, very good photographer….

Everyone here knows that this thread wouldn’t be half as long as it is right now without at least two of those photos. They’ve provided hours upon hours of hilarity and incredible entertainment, and for that we all thank you.
To bradpittThesaraus, you’re my sci-fi/House buddy, even if you bradpittdon’t watch the two greatest sci-fi shows bradpittever!
Regret, you and I have had some EPIC battles, especially when I was first here and returned. I don't remember what we've fought over, but it probably seemed like a really good reason at the time. :cheesy:
Here's to V, who runs the whole place and lets us all run amok in our little corner of cyberspace.
This monstrous post would not be complete without a humble tribute to Sheikh Mohammed, who is largely responsible for the thread, Last Post Wins.

Ryan Moore's also here. The first question he was asked was 'How are you finding the Breeders' Cup experience?'.
Did he answer a) 'It's a real thrill to be out here and to be riding one of the leading contenders for a prestigious event like the Breeders' Cup Turf' b) 'I can't wait to go exploring Los Angeles and finding all that this fantastic city has to offer' or c) 'What kind of a stupid (expletive) question is that?'.

Frankie-Aidan and I have been watching Terminator 2, and performing at a band concert.
I forgot to ask if they had behaved.

Last night's Grey's Anatomy was actually good for once. That show had started to go downhill in a hurry.

Everyone's out trick-or-treating, I guess.
The Pedro boys are repeat district champs and my little brother and sister are on their way to regionals again this year!!!

I'm sure that if your campus is anything like the UF campus was today, there is not age limit on trick-or-treating.

No, people go to class in costumes. The people in the dining hall even had them on.

There is too much pepper in a McChicken.
I am definitely not a fan of excessive pepper.
I had a South Beach frozen pizza (buffalo chicken), and I added Texas Pete. Excessive Texas Pete is fine.

Who's hating on your binoculars, Affy? I think it would be a great costume!
I could run around with two catalogs stuffed in my pants and a polo with the collar flipped up.

I forgot to order it plain, too, so I had to wipe off the 50 tbsp of mayo they piled on it. I don't even know what Texas Pete is, I must admit.

Texas Pete is hot sauce, right?

I am stunned at the lack of 'Texas Pete knowledge.' Yes, it's a hot sauce. Great stuff.
I'm all about mayo, too-- you should have seen me at Subway today, MM. I always tell them, 'Oil & vinegar, and lots of mayonnaise.' They load it up. :)

I love spicy foods, but I'm not a fan of hot sauce except for the fire sauce from Taco Bell. I can pour two or three of those on a taco and love it. Tried the volcano taco yet? Mmmmmmm.

Maybe that's what I'll be next year. I'll need a Godolphin shirt and hat first to pull it off.

I'm not a huge mayo fan, but I like it in small doses. What's left on the bun after I wipe it off is quite a nice addition to the sandwich.
Hot sauce, eh? Can't say as I ever use any kind of hot sauce. I do like steak sauce, but only if I eat chopped steak. Country Bob's is my favorite

I have not tried that, but I thought it sounded good. I'm more of a 'soft taco' girl, though.

I can make a buffalo chicken dip with chicken (obviously), cream cheese, ranch dressing, cheddar cheese, and Texas Pete that would rock your socks. I'm all about the hot sauce. I make killer salsa, too.

I don't really like hard tacos either, but this one is really good because of that spicy chessy sauce. And the red shell is cool.
