I wish that I could have just had one day (my birthday, too) without the drama from this POS person that keeps infecting my life. She wrote a nasty comment on one of my Facebook photos telling me that she'd see me in hell. ON MY BIRTHDAY. How effing classy is THAT?!

Wow. They had some serious drama at Kempton today. A horse spoked while in the starting gate, broke out, crashed through the rail, and plunged into the lake. By some miracle, the horse's only physical injury was a minor cut to one of his legs. The Racing Post has a picture of the horse after he crashed through the rail on their website along with the full details. Scary stuff though.
Pretty amazing he didn't get hurt any worse!

I really should have used the spell check before I posted that. I should have added that the horse had a hood on over his eyes, so he couldn't see a thing while he was going nuts. That more than likey didn't help the situation.

I had a class one time that met on the day that the siren was tested monthly and at the same time and in the building on which the siren was anchored. The professor pretty much had to stop teaching for 5 minutes while it went off. The first time, she tried to keep on talking, but nobody could hear her, so it was pointless.

They only test the system like once or twice during the semester, so it's not too bad. There's just loud sirens going off outside, and they send a test text to the cell phones.

The more I think about it, the more I think this will be my topic. I have to narrow it down to something less broad, but I still want to put in a bit about the enlistment and drafting of major league players and how that brought about the women's leagues as well as a revival in the Negro leagues. With that in mind, I may look at race and gender in baseball during World War II.
Being the klutz that I am, I tried to get up out of my desk chair when my foot was asleep. My foot turned over, made a lovely cracking sound, and I came pretty close to kissing the floor. Simon and Saeed have a tendency to be a bit on the contradicting side. Case and point would be their respectative statements on Sos Brillante. Simon stated that her win was unexpected because she hadn't shown a lot, and that she had more than a bit of an attitude. He also stated that she would go on to the UAE 1,000 Guineas. Then, Saeed stated that they would look at the 1,000 Guineas, but no decision would be made until closer to the race. He also said she was a nice filly. Hmmm.....

Yeah.
Gaaahhh.. I just got back from seeing "My Bloody Valentine".
Was it good? It looks awful but I'll probably go see it anyway - I can't resist a slasher.
It was SUPER gory. It was like Final Destination type of gore, except x10. I mean.. he's running around with an effing pick-axe for god's sake! Gaah.. so much gore!

I don't think you do. It's okay when you're talking about the racing side because horses are moved between the two operations all the time. Zada Belle has made four moves between Godolphin and Darley alone. When you start talking about Godolphin buying farms, stallions, or broodmares and giving stud deals, then there's a bit of a problem there.

There's someone you'd rather have than Majid?
And let's just say that this is the last surviving bunker on earth. You're picking one person to help repopulate the earth with. Who is it?
No, I wouldn't take this person over Majid, but he does appear in my dreams more than Majid does. I suppose I'll stick with Majid that way we get a little more culture in the bunker.
Culture? LOLOLOL. I s'pose Dustin will have to select a woman of color so we have a truly diverse population.
Absolutely no comment.
Oh c'mon! PM me - don't leave me hanging! :cheesy:

Haha, I really don't have a comment....yet. I just found that line to be ironic at best. However, I'll come up with a comment and txt it to you tomorrow, or better yet, I'll call and deliver it first-hand.
Hey - I've got a white guy, Affy's got a Middle-Eastern guy, now we need an Asian, and someone of color.

I believe we're now up to eight people in the bunker, so there's room for at least two more people. Space is limited, so act now, people.

Now, take out the two juniors, and there's room for about four more people. Of course, things would then get crowded later on.

Perhaps we should put Frankie in it just to keep us all entertained. Of course, that would mean no one from Coolmore then. We don't want a mini war on our hands.

So, I took out a loan for my last year of school. According to the Citibank, they sent my money to the school on the 9th. When I check my fiancial aid status on the school website, they show that they don't have the money, which means I was charged a $100 late fee for my tutition. I now have to hike my way across campus to deal with this mess, and best guess is the school screwed up somewhere. Just my luck of course.

Luv and Thes have been added to the bunker. Hmmm....I suppose I'll need to make the bunker bigger or get rid of SBD Jr. Decisions, decisions.
In other news, I hate the fiancial aid office. They didn't authorize my *private* loan due to some federal aid form that wasn't filled out. Yet, they disbursed last semester's money without this form.

After I was informed that my loan money had been sent back to Citibank, my dad called Citibank to find out if the money had indeed been sent back. Nope. Citibank hasn't received any money back from this stupid school, which begs the question of where's my money.
