Yep ... PP was the highest on the morning line, but went off at 5 to 1 and won gate to wire and was never seriously threatened. He looked VERY good. I've got my eye on him now! Awesome Patriot really threw in a clunker. I snapped tons of pics of him, but only 1 of Premier Pegasus. Here it is ... In the paddock before The Jack Goodman Stakes yesterday ...

Don't worry, Cho wants to go to Churchill Downs with him for the baby grass race.

thought the 2 had the worst trip and gallop out was impressive....he showed some greenness as well. He ran hos last race and won at fairplex...I don't think a derby trailer comes outta this one...

Sent early from the rail then re-breaks in the stretch when challenged. That might suggest a good race horse. Bred to go much farther. Plenty to like here.

He actually rebroke twice, once after the race and was hard to pull up.

on turf in the breeders cup he is as good as any others, at least males.

Champ Pegasus maybe ... Premier Pegasus ... No ...
Premier Pegasus hasn't even run a race on turf yet. Kinda hard to proclaim him as a turf monster at this point.

he's by fupeg out of a dam who was graded stakes placed on turf
he is going to move up on turf. he's winning now by just sheer out talenting his competition but this is a turf horse.

Tough trip for Clubhouse Ride, but this didn't strike me as a terribly professional group. They all went too fast, too soon and fell back faster than the one they were chasing.
Nice performance by Premier Peg, receiving a 90 BSF for his efforts. Based on pedigree, he should be able to stretch out. Also has the same damsire (Summer Squall) as Belmont winner Summer Bird. At this point, his future looks very bright.

Is this the first time in BC history that a horse was a vet scratch on a PRE entry? What happened to the horse?

I am fascinated by horses with pedigrees like this. Living history.
