Would be nice to see a win here, or at least, in the money. :)

Thanks for the heads up. I watch the Woodbine feed every week on The Score channel so I'll be able to watch this one live (in between Halloween movies of course! ).
Looks darn cold at Woodbine btw. I can see small flurries in the air on the broadcast and steam coming from the horse's nostrils. Brrrrrrrrrrr!

Nicanor takes the lead early, ran a hell of a race and was overtaken in the last strides. Big wall of horses coming on at the end.
Looks to have finished 4th. A shorter stretch and he'd have held on.

A wild finish - all 12 horses spread across the course and everyone of them had a chance.

Nice. Nicanor ran well...just about a 1/2 length from the win.

That's too bad. I wish Nicanor would be able to get up for the win.

How exciting! Sounds like a good finish in a nice little race. I'm waiting for the replay, but it sounds like perhaps he either wants a little less ground or maybe now that we know he likes going up front, he just needs to learn to pace himself? Perhaps we've a turf sprinter.
I'm excited for the replay...sounds sort of like Awesome Again's Classic, which is one of my favorites to watch.

Poor Nic. According to the chart he lost by a head + a neck + a nose.

Thank you! I liked how he refused to give up. I think he really is good enough for stakes company.
Crazy finish, though. So many horses with a chance!

It was a really nice race! Even better, I won on the 22-1 Safety Zone. :target:
The outside post was working all day long.
