Welcome to the official fan thread of A Z, hope you enjoy your visit.
A Z was installed as the 7/2 morning-line favorite for the BCJF today. Does anyone like her chances? I know she's been working up a storm since she got back to Hollywood, and she LOVED the dirt last time out. Have a safe and succesful time at Churchill, Gal!!!

Is she scheduled to work at Churchill? I am rooting for her and Theyskens Theory.

Well, I know she's the favorite, but she won't be by post time. I'm really annoyed that everyone seems to think R Heat Lightning was the best in the Frizette. I don't know what race these handicappers watched, but AZ blew that race apart and was geared down at the end - so, the diminishing margin of victory is meaningless.
AZ had a recent work out in CA that folks were raving about, so she's in good form. Boy, I love her - but I love Theyskens' Theory ( what a big girl she is) as well. Still, regardless of pedigree, she's still an unknown on dirt.
One thing about Bernardini - his offspring don't take after his sire that much in that his good horses have speed (Stay Thirsty, AZ, TT, To Honor and Serve, Buffum). I don't mean Indy's don't have speed, but many of them are closers. Bernardini's offspring thus far have shown themselves to have more tactical speed than maybe was expected at this stage.

this seriously, wont' even be a race.
A Z warrior will win this race by 6. Unless awesome feather freaks, that's the only scenario I can see her losing.

I like AZ's chances but I also like Awesome Feather, coming from Calder may give her a fitness edge for going the distance.

The only concern I have for her is 2 turns. I don't know if she'll like it as much as some of the others.

I guess nobody is taking Indian Gracey seriously ... I have to admit I like that ... I like that a lot! I have NO doubt she'll get the 2 turns either.

Baffert said last week that A Z came out of her race with a minor foot problem. He says if she comes out of it ok, he'll start her in the Hollywood Starlet.
Glad Baffert gets to keep her; if she won the BCJF she would have been sold for sure.

Looks like she's doing really well. I love May Day Rose, Baffert's other contendor, but I'll take a win from her any day!

Glad to see as Baffert wasn't sure she'd be ready. The leadership of the first crop sire list may come down to this race and I'm rooting for AZ. I know she's a lot better than she showed in the BC.
