I'm real sorry to hear this. It was in our paper this morning that Steve will have a small and cheap stable here for the first time, ever. The F.G. is losing their biggest trainer and the biggest trainer in the U.S.....This is bad news for the F.G...I hope the ones he sends here will do better then the ones he sends to S.A...He always did so well here. I;m really surprised at this news. I guess JJ wants his horses out there with the new dirt track. I;,M sorry S.A. got the dirt track back. It;s the F.G. loss because of it. Wonder what trainers will come to the F.G.? I see the back gate is open and all the horses are coming in now. Love this time of year because of the F.G. opening back up. Hope they have a good meet, but can;t afford to lose Asmussen;s big horses. I knwo his clients loved it here, esp. the ones from Texas...

SA, runs for more money, smaller fields, dirt, better weather (no lost days becuase of bad weather)
makes sense.

I bet a lot of horsemen here are glad Steve is leaving his best horses in Calif., as they will have a better chance of winning at the F.G., esp. the big stakes. F.G. has too many La. breds they run. They could run better horses here. Sure hope they start. C.D. better start thinking of how theycan get better horses here and not just LA. breds and smaller stables. I guess Steve can run with the Calif. horsemen. Will be new to him as he did nothing when they had the synthetic track. Will be going against BB , etc. Will see if he does as well there as he has the F.G.

Jess did his bully boy routine on So Cal for a couple of years now. It is time to repay them for cowering. His boy Assman will be happy to comply to stable Jess's next big purchase.
