So what horses do we have next year? What handicap horses will there be? Lucky? Fly down?

What about for sprinters?

Just curious, it looks like the 3 years might be pretty good next year if they hold it together which is exciting, but I like following the older horses as well, so who will we have to follow?

Big Drama's owners said right after the race they were going to bring him back next year. :D

I saw an interview with Bob Baffert. They have had offers from stud farms for Lucky, but 'the owners are having too much fun racing.' So, sound like he'll be around next year.

Awesome I always thought he would be a really good sprinter! I actually like that the breeding market is down right now because some of these horses would be retired in previous years.

Yay!

Is Blind Luck coming back too? I thought she was. And what about the other 3yo colts and fillies? Any word on them?

Too bad Blame retired already. He was one rock-solid older horse. We need more of them.

Yes, Blind Luck will be back. And unless something happened over the weekend to change someone's mind, so will Paddy O'Prado and First Dude. I think Havre de Grace will be back.

Noble's Promise looked really good winning his stakes race on Friday. If he can stay healthy, he could be a player too.

Plus what seems like whole bunch of decent to good 3YOs who were shut down late in the year for one reason or another.

Yes Noble's Promise looked very good in his race on friday, I can't wait to see where he goes next, Cigar Mile maybe? I don't think any of the major 3 year olds are being retired at this point which is nice, there were some good ones this year, but none that really have done anything to deserve going to stud at the moment. Wouldn't it be cool of Lucky comes back and does well next year? He could have 3 different Eclipse awards, 2,3 and older male! That would be impressive.

Zenyatta????????????

That would be fun, but I think they will finally hang up their hats this year. There is always another chance, of course, but the big girl has worked her little fanny off for us for three years. I would love to see her really do a campaign worthy of a horse like her, but I do think some time rolling around in a pasture is something she has earned herself!

I'm thinking they will to. But Moss hasn't announced anything yet...we'll see. I would just hate to see her go out on a losing note. Not only that, she looked awesome after the race. She might just have more left in her. And Santa Anita is going to be DIRT by next year!!

Admiral Alex, Friend or Foe, Afleet Express (as long as he returns well from the injury), Take Control, etc.

Knew that Life at Ten had been withdrawn from the Fasig-Tipton sale, but just read on the Daily Racing Form that the owners have decided to keep her in training. Would assume this depends on how she does after her problems in the Ladies Classic. DRF article at:

I don't think we will be seeing Take Control again, and if we do, I don't think he'll hold up for more than at most, three races. Baffert better be getting Smash back to the track soon. Any word on him?

Unrivaled Belle will be back after all; and so will Al Khali. Both with Mott. Proviso is retired.

Hopefully, Giant Oak! :)

Beaten only three lengths by Blame in the Clark Handicap last year!

Looking forward to Smash coming back. I'm also excited to see Switch next year, and Twirling Candy, Harmonious if she's not retired... I would imagine Lucky will run on the Santa Anita dirt, so that should be fun.

Eldaafer!!!! I don't think he's *just* a marathoner myself and could show up in a few of the bigger older races as well...
