Tiny tear in a tendon.

He will be given an honourable retirement. But for the immediate future and to help his great friend Kauto Star, he will be kept in his box next to Kauto for the rest of season.

I'm sure many tribute articles will be published today.

Thanks for posting - hope he has a long and happy retirement and I look forward to him parading at Cheltenham in March as will surely happen.

Is he the same one standing at Darley Australia? If so, it does not make sense bc he just retired according to the news and with a fee of 38k. The season is nearly over in Aussie to start breeding. I am thinking its the different horse?

Yes, different horse. This one's a jumping gelding.

Forgot about the horse - thought it was Trevor who was retiring.
