Not a TB, but there is a QH who occassionally runs at Los Al by the name of "Is She Legal." I get that it's a play on the dam's name (Wandering Illegally) but stood out to me as the "how did this name get approved?" list of names some horses get. There was also a TB with that name but spelled as Iz...

I assumed it was to provide an outcross, but why Mr Prospector, and why at this time in history? I think its because not too long ago you couldn't find a horse that didn't have Mr. Prospector in the first two generations. I can recall years back that being free of Mr. P was a big advertising point ...

I believe that string thing is called a stabilizer and if I remember right D. Wayne Lukas was one of the first to use it.
