Re: 2018 foals

Do we have any idea who the others are? Those are some nice foals. 8-) Left to right: '17 Doctor Chit x Talking Audrey, '17 Tapit x Lotta Kim, '17 Empire Maker x St John's River My inner 5 year old voice is giggling, wishing the first foal was a Fipke horse and we could look forward to Talking Chit...

Re: 2018 foals

Yeah, what looked like a vet came in, checked her over then they cut the camera.

And reading the comments over on the livestream page, can't say I blame them for cutting the feed off if they were going to do more than pet her nose.

Re: 2018 foals

Watching Via Veneto's camera and have a question...are tremors and full body shakes common in mares about to foal? Poor girl is a quakey mess

Re: 2018 foals

The owner is definitely not camera shy

I think at least 3 stockings and a blaze, not sure about any markings on one hind leg. Wonder if she'll end up being a gray and hiding all that pretty bling

Re: 2018 foals

Looks like quite a bit of chrome on that bay..

And wow that was a lot of folks in the stall..12 at last count. Wonder if that's the norm or if she's a barn favorite

I'm guessing not a problem since I counted 9 people hovering  and there are little hooves peeking out from La Verdad even as we speak

Re: NTRA Moment of the Year

This year was insanely, in a wonderful way, difficult! I ended up going with Chrome in Dubai. That saddle slipping on the international stage and him still charging home. An act of incredible balance by Espinoza and Chrome himself disregarding what I have had personal experience with (albeit it not ...

Re: 2017 Stallion Fees - Changes?

Also doesn't 30k for Exaggerator seem a little ridiculous? Yes it does,..and not to grind on it, Super saver went from $65K to $50K, but still way overpriced IMO I was surprised to see Super Saver got 154 mares this year. I thought he'd be popular with his success last year but didn't think he'd at...

It's official: it was a dead heat. It's Tapit's world--we're just living in it. :D

You aren't joking!

I wish I had myself a nice pretty gray ATM machine in my barn.

Re: Arrogate

Absolutely random thought bubble, it's kind of nifty BB has had two years of 37 being a signature record smashed. Pharoah with the 37 years of Triple Crown drought ended. Arrogate with the 37 year record in the Travers smashed. Any other major 36 year old records we should bookmark for next year? :l...

There was also a scare at the Olympic Equestrian Center as a military bullet pierced the roof of the media tent and landed on the floor. The incident occurred during the lunch break at the dressage event Saturday. The competition was not disrupted and nobody was hurt. The bullet landed inches from ...

At the very least, or at least in a perfect world, her foray into the thoroughbred world should be at an end. It's hard to imagine anyone entrusting either Borell with their horse in the future.

Jeeze, what an absolute photo negative of a Disney movie her story has turned in to.

Re: Stallion News

I like that pic of AP more than most of the "beauty" shots I've seen of him. Just covered in mud, looking like a horse that had one heck of a fun roll around the pasture instead of slicked up and shiny and wearing an almost petulant "why did I have to come in??" look... too cute
