Re: 2018 Two-year-olds

So how much are Chasing Yesterday's ovaries worth now? A G1 winning half sister to a triple crown champion by Tapit.. just as much if not more than her sister Am Cleo, or does the grade one win make that much of a difference?

What an early birthday gift. My 33rd is tomorrow. Got a few tears in my eyes for the great mare. Thank you Winx.

He was beautiful. So far only 2 million dollar plus babies. A ton in the over 500k range though.

Re: 2018 Keeneland September Yearling Sale

Why not just scratch the colt at that point.. unless it was too late. Just weird, even if he was real quiet bad, you'd think he'd still bring more money.

All the talk over him, and that cheap.. I agree, something has to be wrong. Maybe he scoped bad? He looked a bit tall and thin but not that bad. I'm very surprised.

Re: 2018 Keeneland September Yearling Sale

And I was sort of right, except it was Godolphin. If he sold for that much, makes me wonder how high some are going to go. That price could very well have topped a sale 😂

Not as strong a page as some of the APs. Probably someone at coolmore or godolphin REALLY wanted that one.

I'd say 100% chance it's either War Front, MdO, or Curlin. Cannot see her going to anyone else.

Re: 2018 foals

Anyone know what or if Melhor Ainda foaled? I can't believe she's 15 already, I remember her scorching up the Belmont lawn like it was yesterday. Still think if it wasn't for some bad luck and ouchy feet, she had grade 1 talent.

Re: Derby Day Watch-along

He sure is something special, I thought looking at that half mile split, he was cooked. Nope. I do get American Pharoah talent-like vibes from him. I'm very impressed. Oh what a loss Scat Daddy is the industry.

Re: Stallion News

That whole sireline is plagued with fertility problems. Danzig had some problems, but not on the remote level of Starspangledbanner or The Wow Signal. The only one I don't know much about there would be Danehill Dancer. Anyone know? I would guess since he was at Coolmore Ireland the entire time, tha...

Re: Stallion News

Yes. More like they're probably not getting either the kind of mares or the quantity they want at 10k so they're forced to drop him a notch. Definitely more to this story.

Re: Winx

I loved them both. I still do think Winx is the best I've ever seen, and therein it's a problem. Aussie racing is SO good and popular here in the states now. There seems to be on average, a horse every 8 years or so who wins and beats everything. So who knows what we'll say a few years from now. I f...
