Re: In Memoriam 2019

Aaaaaawwwww, RIP Attire. You are definitely missed and you are (were) definitely loved. I'll never forget the 2003 Clark and the eventual DQ....had a nice private message exchange with Joe Grant about that race on this very forum. His win as a 10yo in the Stymie is another great memory I have: he wa...

So I notice that Prat has the mount on Audible. Is Battle of Midway still being considered?

Re: Accelerate vs Justify HOTY

For all the desire to respect the TC as it is why does no one bring up that we have had two winners since CDI manipulated the entries? I have been thinking about this myself over the last couple of months. The fact that most of the true speed and pace has all but been eliminated via the points syst...

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses

Was just taking a look at the pps for GP7 today (nice race) and noticed that Megahertz has the #4 Amarone, a debut runner, starting. She's by Quality Road.

If all stay in the main body of the field with no scratches, then I'm going with Still Having Fun. Axelrod is also a bit interesting on the cut back.

On another note, Peeptoad - I didn't interpret your post as an "outburst" in a negative way? Speaking only for myself, of course, but I thought you were passionate while respectful. I think we all wish that social media, used thoughtlessly or by trolls, would avoid throwing gasoline on a tire fire ...

Re: What if we had a National Racing Czar?

It is post time and the horses are a quarter miles from the gate, in Florida make that a half mile. The serious betting has just begun, the 4-1 odds you thought you were getting just dropped to even money. Maybe 5 minutes after post time they load. Horses go off and half way through the race you se...

Re: In memoriam 2018

I wish they would do away with all comment sections on all news sites, whether or not racing -related. DRF did away with them awhile back and it made the articles more readable imho. Giving millions a voice and platform on which to air every last grievance is causing dire problems on the planet way...
