Re: Stronach v. Stronach

In the meantime, lots to enjoy and appreciate at NYRA.

Glad we're not the dysfunctional ones anymore.

Re: Ken Ramsey

I was thinking you might be on the list? My partner and I both have full-time jobs. Racing is a very expensive hobby and not remotely an avenue pursued for primary income. Not when we started over a decade ago, and certainly not now. I understand this completely (as a competitive show dog breeder)....

Re: Ken Ramsey

There's two kinds of owners. 1. Hopeful of turning a profit in racing as their primary source of income. 2. Make your money somewhere else then spending it on a hobby such as horses, boats, planes, mistresses etc. There are tons more of #2s than #1s that we ever hear anything about. Ramsey fits int...

Re: Ken Ramsey

From Sol Kumin to Ken Ramsey as well as a few others along the way, your critique of their methods, wants and desires seems strange to me, perhaps it's out of jealousy that you speak? Despite your Sherlock Holmes level powers of investigation, I don't give a flying f how anyone spends their money, ...

Another funny notion.
He still has so many he can run up to 3 maidens with different trainers in the same race. I've seen it this year.
Sounds like a profitable formula.

Ken Ramsey

http://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/pdf/tdn/tdn181228.pdf Inevitable, given this guy has bled millions of dollars annually for years chasing his gambling fix in this industry. (Something we all should thank him for, btw). I was a huge fan of many of his top runners and Kitten's Joy is on my short l...

Greyvitos right back into a G1 off an allowance loss.....smh..... C’mon stop it will ya...... He needs a prep for the Pegasus.😉 Outran his odds, was 6th at the midway point. Just outfinished by the highly regarded Copper Bullet (Asmussen) and AxMan (Baffert) Beat Seven Trumpets home that Romans shi...

Re: Accelerate vs Justify HOTY

Bob Baffert makes a point. You can't pick and choose. [snip] I argued this earlier in the thread, a few weeks ago. There are ample opportunities for connections to select where and when a horse runs to maximilze his Gr1 win chances. That flexibility doesn't exist for a Triple Crown, and thus it wil...

Re: $mall Investment Partnership$

In the radio interview I heard, it mentioned that for the $100 buy-in you probably won't get Hollendorfer's phone number to discuss things with him, but they did say the winners circle was large enough to accommodate a crowd. I, for one, will never ever forget my first time there, memory of a lifet...

Re: $mall Investment Partnership$

If you can measure your return by a trip to the winners circle and a picture to cherish forever, trust me, there's plenty of ROI. According to what the website says, there is no guarantee of paddock or winner's circle access. Overall, this looks like a structure that gets Nick paid out for his rema...

Re: Cigar Mile (G1) - December 1st 2018

Is RyanMoore making the trip? Guessing he'll have to gun from the rail with the favorite and will get pace pressure along the way, looking for a better price coming from off it to nail 'em at the wire. Don't like Mendy here at all. Backwards moving Sheet line, horrible inside post and platinum clas...

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

History should tell an amusing story about the Pegasus in general. Do we really believe there are going to be two actual $7 million races that day? Though, $7 million may not be enough if Greyvitos is running. You doing previews for the Saturday stakes on the website? Never came up. Sorry. Congrats...

Hey look. Greyvitos shows up in the entries on Saturday in an allowance off the layoff. Right spot.

But you think those knuckleheads have the Pegasus on their radar as a next start?

History is a tell.

Re: Kitten's Joy's Progeny

I didn’t say quality mares. But I thought he was very peculiar about which mares he thought were a good match regardless of accomplishment or ancestry? I remember him claiming a bunch of mares off the track specifically to breed to KJ. I had the impression he was more worried about quantity than qu...

Re: Kitten's Joy's Progeny

Will never stop expressing my admiration for Ramsey's dedication to this stallion. I know I know, not every big stallion station has the time, money or patience to invest in a stud, but maybe the Ramseys should give a course on 'how to 'Make' a stallion'. Maybe we'd have a wider gene pool, less bot...
