Re: Earthquakes, Tsunamis & Volcanos

Something is going on near Mt Etna. Lots of small quakes not very deep. Hopefully just a smoke burp.

Re: NFL News & Notes

Hey, stark, you can't feel my pain. This is like being in labor. The owners prefer soccer, and I would too if I owned Manchester United, which they do. So, the carousel of qb's continues, back to Jameis for the Niners. I've decided not to try out for qb. Not fast enough. No job security. And I'm sor...

Re: NFL News & Notes

Blue looks like white today, too. Now Jameis is coming in again. Ryan is seeing in shades of grey every play. Redskins QB has broken ankle. Carted off the field. Now Bucs get a TD by Jameis fumbling in the end zone. Evans somehow jumped on it. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Now we are down by...

Re: The VENT Thread

Got sent home. Gonna wind up in again. I still have stones. That first one was a leftover from 2 years ago. I told them then I had one stuck. Oh no... dr knows they are done. Now I have more coming. Been there, done that. This is case 17 of having stones. I have a badly scarred kidney, caused by a h...

Re: 2018 Two-year-olds

I'm going to ask Godolphin if I can have a Christmas present. This is the first one he's trained for them, right? Once he figured out how to get out of the gate he just turned on afterburners. WHOOOSSSHH!
I'm impressed.

And the usual college drunk kid with no shirt on. I'm so impressed by idiocy. I hope his nipples get frostbite. 😬

You don't see this every day...

2 dead heats in the same race.
GP West R 7, yesterday, Nov 16, 2018.
Dead heat for 2nd, #6 Blue Chip Prospect and #9, Earth, and dead heat for 5th, #2 Very Colorful and #3 Green Mansions.
I found that by, for my sins, having Earth in my fantasy stable.🤣 At least he was trying.

Re: Accelerate vs Justify HOTY

I'm still saying... he beat the horses that lined up against him. Some took the Preakness off and came back for the Belmont. He still beat them. I'm not saying he was Secretariat. What horse could be? In close to a century and a half he was number 13. He did it. Love the connections. Hate his connec...

Re: Accelerate vs Justify HOTY

Why limit the three Gr 1's to California?
There are certainly other races that are worthy.
Ok, Accelerate ran there. He also ran in a Gr 2 in Arkansas, but managed to come in second in that.

Re: Accelerate vs Justify HOTY

No explanation for Justify's time in the Belmont. Trainers are allowed to tell a jockey to put a horse in front and slow the pace down. Happens all the time. Perfectly legal. Why run faster than you need to? Also, some horses like to run in company, others put distance between themselves and their c...

Re: Accelerate vs Justify HOTY

Ok, here's the Watchmaker run down, paraphrased by me, on the Classic field. Accelerate,,,seems vulnerable West Coast...has license to improve, has to Catholic Boy...primarily turf McKinzie ... needs recovery time after the recent win, not getting it Mind Your Biacuits... Seriously? New owners want ...

Re: NFL News & Notes

Of course, I would not react like this if the Bucs QB's were not color blind. White is SO difficult to distinguish from red. 503 yards of offence and a grand total of 3 points. I may go for a qb tryout Tuesday. I can't do any worse. One has color blindness, the other is still in high school. Salary'...

Tennessee beat the Patriots! 34-10! We should have a party! I am so tired of worshipping the Patriots.

Re: Accelerate vs Justify HOTY

One more point... supposedly Justify was slow. Which race? Mud in the Derby? He finished first. The River Pimlico in the Preakness? He needed an outboard motor to go any faster. He finished first. Oh, he must only win in mud.... he won the Belmont, too. Against those colts he ran as fast as he had t...
