The rain is starting.
Cairo Cat is headed to Rood & Riddle. He's not right and Kenny McPeek is sending him for tests.
@KennyMcPeek
Says he won't be on the Derby trail.

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

If Frankel entered something that looked to be a worthy (as in deserved) 20-1, you went to the bank of choice, withdrew everything of yours, and hit the windows. If he had something else in the same race, try artistic combos, higher price on top. I supported myself and a husband that could lose a be...

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

Bonus question answer, based on recent history, probably Bobby.
We may see Baffert with a few more possibly good Juddmonte youngsters, or they may try the water at another barn or 2. I don't see them going with anything not based in Los Angeles on the west coast, though.

Re: The VENT Thread

It's one of those love hate relationships. :lol: If I don't go in, I get yelled at by one bunch. If I do, I get the look from another section of white coats for not going in to see them. I need to sell tickets. I have a bunch of things wrong with me that I don't take seriously. This frustrates a bun...

Re: Research: Shetland pony behind thoroughbred speed

I've seen the videos. That's a competitive breed. I sent baroque again a PM about a shetland I knew. I worked at a boarding stable at one point in my many jobbed career. We had one of the early Buccaneers keeping his daughter's shetland there. He may not have lived through entering that luxurious pe...

Re: Research: Shetland pony behind thoroughbred speed

There are a few more breeding angles that simply vanished over the years. For instance, some people like the Akhal Teke breed as ancestral to tbreds. It was more likely the Turkmene, one of the Akhal's ancestors. The breed was allowed to die out by the '60's Soviets. Everything you see as unique to ...

Which is entirely predictable. The new owner claims a horse whose name is recognized. Even the a---oles can see themselves in the winner's circle. The horse has a name. The owner (in what mind it has) can look good for at least 30 seconds. The horse in reality is going through the motions. What else...

Back in captivity. I've been getting rid of some kidney stones lately. As long as I can lose them myself I'm fine. Been there, done that... I can take rhat pain myself if they are small. Add an extra motrin if I need to. I seem to have one stuck or something. Back to the ER I am hauled. More pain th...

I'm actually optimistic about the future of the team if the Brothers Glazer can keep their fingers out of it.
We may have someone that understands the draft process. The last one that had that figured out (and only one, for that matter) was Dungy.

Unbelievably, the brothers found a brain cell! I actually love their choice for coach, and he seems to have told them they spend for what they get. At her age, she's still growing. Horses are still maturing till about 5 years. She may still get taller, it depends on her family's history and sire's family's history and luck as far as what she eats when. She may have hit her final height and now be maturing in muscle mass or skeletal mass.
