Re: Stallion News

This Fiber Sonde seems like he’s doing ok in WV for $1,000. Unbridleds Song x Silken Cat (so he’s a half to Speightstown). He never ran a race.

Re: 2019 Stallion Fees

Mind Your Biscuits for about $17500 USD. He probably would have struggled for $15k in America. I find him a loss for US breeding and hope Shadai supports him well.

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses

Chasing Yesterday , Tapit half to American Pharoah won the Desi Arnaz S. in a three-horse race. Jay Privman @DRFPrivman Chasing Yesterday grinds out a victory in Desi Arnaz, wind really pronounced. Opening 1/4 with tailwind 21.81 seconds, final 1/8 into headwind 14.40 seconds. @DelMarRacing Jay Pri...

Re: 2018 Keeneland November Sale

Anyone know who Red Scarf Racing is? The name does not show up in Equibase. Its a new entity. No horses have been bought under this name before the 2018 Keeneland sale. To me it looks like a regional breeder looking for cheaper mares who have strong pedigrees. They got some REALLY cheap mares with ...

What do they think she's going to get going to Brethren, the nice looking but the underperforming half brother to the Derby winner? Someone buy her and send her to Ki...

Re: 2019 Stallion Fees

That seems like a slap in the face for Accelerate (who of course doesn't care about his fee). It is more than his sire stands for, but still...

Hope he books full. Interested to see what mares he draws with his "unfashionable" pedigree.

Re: Breeders’ Cup News & Notes- 2018

Not surprised by Shang Shang Shang, I don't think she is near 100% right now. Interesting to see how the odds change from her scratch. Polydream though... oof. Lots of people going to have to start all over again on that race, myself included. Was really looking forward to her. Reading on POLYDREAM...

Last time I saw Imperative, Mind Your Biscuits was walloping on him in a morning workout. He did not look good. This was just a week or two ago.
So, depending on how Imperative does, it either can flatter or diminish Biscuits.

Re: BC: Who's going?

I’m flying up from Tampa tomorrow and will be at CD both days. We’re driving to Lexington on Sunday to hit Keeneland and some of the stallion open houses. Have fun!! Sunday that's probably my plan - Three Chimneys to see Gun Runner, Indian Ridge to see The Player, Keeneland or FT to see some mares.

Re: 2018 Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) - Nov 3rd

Interesting that Mike did make that choice. I can't imagine that choosing West Coast here would have lost him the 2019 mount on McKinzie, assuming that one trains on. I think in my betting, I will have to make this a huge consideration when making tickets. If West Coast wasn't good enough for Mike a...

Did Imperative get transferred to Lukas? Maybe Loooch should to give him a break.😉
Isn't War Story Loooch as well?

I'm fine with a hose running when it's right and placing them competitively.

BC: Who's going?

I am flying up late Friday from Atlanta and will be at the races Saturday! For someone like me, them moving all the baby races to Friday and making Saturday the "grown up" day really helped make the decision about going. I was pretty bummed when Justify ran off to the shed, but the ultra-competitive...

Re: 2018 Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) - Nov 3rd

McKinzie is Baffert + Big Money Mike. Assuming he got choice between the two, interesting he goes with the 3YO. makes Axelrod look a tad more interesting if Mike really picked who he thought was better. I am tossing Accelerate and will probably regret it. Tossing Thunder Snow, Roaring Lion and Mendy...
