So, I looked up the racing dates in Alberta:

Northlands begins its final season on May 5.
Rocky Mountain Turf Club (Lethbridge) also has live racing beginning on May 5.
The Millarville Races are on July 1. In addition to Thoroughbred racing, they also have a Ladies' Sidesaddle Race and a Stock Horse Race.
Evergreen Park (Grande Prairie) has a Thoroughbred meet from July 7 to August 26 (Fri-Sun).
Century Downs begins its 2018 season on September 2.

The CTHS Alberta Night of Champions awards dinner will be held on May 19. Schramsberg's son Remarkable Vintage is nominated for 2 categories: 2YO colt and Alberta bred Horse of the Year.

Perhaps I am slightly biased (aw, who am I kidding? :D ), but I feel he should win the 2YO colt award. Why?

Well...yes, all of the other nominees have more starts than Remarkable Vintage, but he is undefeated in his two starts. More to the point, the ONE time that all the nominees met, Remarkable Vintage was from 2 1/4 to 11 lengths ahead at the finish!

However this works out, good luck to Remarkable Vintage and Bar None Ranches...at the awards and in his upcoming 3YO season!
