No, she's fine. The big shoes they were referencing were those left by her former stablemate, the recently retired Atreides. ;)

And let's not overlook that he was the favorite in his last race (where he was claimed) on 2/1, dueled in second/third place before falling back to last. Now under the auspices of "No Guts No Glory" stable, trainer Gina Rosenthal. I am hoping that he'll either not draw in or get scratched..

Star of Sarava scratched- 3 other horses in the field did also scratch, so one would think it's not because this one was an AE. Reason is not listed as of yet.

The weather is still pretty bad back East, which forced Aqueduct to cancel today. Penn may or may not cancel, but perhaps some owners +/or trainers are reluctant to run their horses even if the track doesn't cancel.

I see horses run back on 'short' rest (7-14 days), and sometimes wi, at tracks big and small every week. It all goes back on the trainers and their inherent responsibility to only run horses when they're right and ready. And this brings me back to my assertion that trainers should be punished for on-track breakdowns and DNFs.
NYRA listened to me and discontinued their 15 day rule.

We figured that wouldn't last long. I found the "poor performance list" aka Stewards List.

Mott's General Bellamy is on it for his poor finish in the Withers on 2/7. Hasn't had any works since either.

Cacau is only a 5-year-old Unbridled's Song gelding, but I think he's one to throw on a 'watch' thread. He is entered at Emerald Downs for $7500 on Friday.

He last raced November 2014, ran 10th and last (eased) for $14,000 at Del Mar. He then spent some time on the Vets List in California as "unsound" in December. This is his first race back. New connections.

Just saw that one- and here is another one- Carnivore who was on the Derby trail at one point- is in a $2,500 claimer today at Emerald. Former Pletcher horse- sold for $280k at OBS.

Carnivore! Looking at his career, it's basically been downhill since the spring of his sophomore year. One to watch for sure.
Thanks.

Cacau won his race easily. Still worth watching.
Carnivore finished 6th of 6. Running last at $2500.

Saw that, even more concerned about Canivore now.

I think any horse claimed by D. Jacobsen deserves to be on a "watch".
North Slope was claimed yesterday for $62,500 from Godolphin at Aqueduct.

Another horse I am putting a "watch" on... Asserting Bear. He is half brother to multiple champion Inish Glora.
Horse was purchased for $50,695 as a yearling and won $461,894 for Bear Stable, including the Coronation Futurity and Marine Stakes, and was 3rd in the Queens Plate and -this year- was 3rd in the Seagram S. (G3).
He sold for $1,500 at the CTHS Winter Mixed Sale as part of the Bear dispersal to Burton Sipp... who I think is known for running worn down warriors for cheap, and then unloading them. He's a BIT shady.
Yuck. Asserting Bear is a pretty classy horse. Can't find anything else to do with him?

Some of you may want to watch a filly named Texas Gem. I didn't get a good look at them today on the track feed, but there was a lot of talk about her "hound dog" ears. Apparently she had normal ears but had surgery to remove some cysts in the ears and as a result, her ears are in permanent flop mode.
