Cairo Prince will face a large, competitive group of two-year-olds when he makes his first start against winners in the Grade 2, $250,000 Nashua on Sunday at Aqueduct.

Somewhat surprised no one has mentioned this race result yet, at least in this thread. A very impressive performance by Cairo Prince, crossing the wire more than a full second faster than the winning 2yo filly a few races earlier on the card. He made a very strong move on the turn and quickly opened a large lead, then cruised home well clear. Looks like one to watch going forward, and should like further distance given his pedigree.

I saw the race...nice win by the son of Pioneer of the Nile, although I'm not sure what was behind him.

Cairo Prince got a 90 Beyer for his Nashua win. New Year's Day got an 88 for his perfect trip win in the BC Juvie.

Strong Mandate ran the best, or second best, race of all of them.
