Stellar Wind looks whippet-thin in the walking ring. :?

I think Forever Unbridled will go off at a great price and she's been flying under the radar. I really like her chances here and I think she will likely get a pace setup since it'd be stupid for any of them to let Paradise Woods alone on the lead and Stellar Wind is great at pressing (but UF has proven she can run into a soft pace as well and isn't as dependent on it unlike Abel Tasman iirc so I like her better).
I like the two main older mares over the 3yos. Never believed this year's 3yo fillies were consistently impressive, and Elate simply hasn't run very fast (ONE single digit Rag # the whole year). My concern with Stellar Wind is Sadler's record in the Breeders Cup overall, but I am going to use both of them in this leg of the P4.
A few days on and I definitely think you're right to be concerned. I don't know how I feel about Elate besides the fact she will have to step up to be the older mares. Throwing a straight show on Stellar Wind as backup but I'm playing Forever Unbridled.

Mike Smith's mount, Abel Tasman, has a bit of the Zenyatta strut. Cute. And an omen?

With all of that, and i'm still not wagering on her, Elate is the best looking horse i've seen all day.

I have Forever Unbridled and Stellar Wind used interchangeably on top, but I think the former looks a lot better than the latter. Stellar Wind doesn't really look bad to me but Forever Unbridled looks great.

I can't use her at 2-1, but Elate is lovely.

Forever Unbridled and Elate would win if this was a competition based on condition. They look fantastic, especially Elate.

Man Stellar Wind got a perfect trip and had absolutely nothing.

Forever Unbridled is so talented, happy for her.

Stellar Wind's coat looks very pale and flat...has she been bodyclipped? :?
ETA: It looks like her pale coat was a hint...she was a shadow of herself today.

Stellar Wind had her ears pinned down the back side when she should have been relaxing. She got Sadlered.

If Abel Tasman had broken a bit sharper, I wonder if she might have nailed FU on the wire. She sure was running in the stretch.

Do you think she was over-trained?
That occurred to me, as well.

Very happy for Forever Unbridled. And what a win for Unbridled's Song, gone too soon.
Did not expect Stellar Wind to misfire so badly even though I had a feeling she wouldn't win.
Nice late run by Abel Tasman, genius early move by Velazquez, leaving the 3yo with too much to do to catch him and FU.

She outran my expectations, but not sure she was ever going to get by the winner. 3yo filly eclipse is a nice runner up prize, and we're not disappointed having two mares selling i/f to Quality Road.

Forever Unbridled has got to be one of those under-rated horses that shows up every time. Nice mare. Too bad about Stellar Wind, she's better than that.

Always glad to learn something from these events, I'll definitely keep it in mind going forward. Such a shame to watch her go out like that after a very nice career.

I think Forever Unbridled was very much the best, but Abel Tasman is going to be very good next year.

...and as I'm typing this, oh man I forgot about the Pegasus thing. It'll be great to see her in that race!

I'm not sure he was being serious but seeing Fipke so happy and enthused about her made me a little emotional! Also as a fellow canuck his accent spoke to me

I hope he was serious and we get to see her again next year. He had mentioned this years Pegasus before but she had a bone chip. Hell if he sends her to the Pegasus and Dubai World Cup and she doesn't want to race anymore, he could still have her bred next year.

Abel Tasman was very good this year. No one wanted to see it, though.
