 And some loon on that page claims Secretariat ran as a 4 year old. And no one even noticed. Well, I guess he ran around his paddock at Claiborne.
I *think* they meant he raced against older horses and won?

No, it was worded that he raced at 4. Very knowledgable site.🤔

I'm incredibly excited about Enable and feel less bad for requesting off work that day today

Champions Day at Ascot is this coming Saturday. There should be some tremendous races (like Cracksman vs. Roaring Lion  ), and I will be very curious to see if any possible BC runners emerge from that card.
I know that Enable will represent her gender very well, thank you, in the Turf, but which Euros are targeting races like the F&M Turf or The Mile? I wouldn't be shocked if Ballydoyle chooses some of their distaffers from Saturday's races to head to The Colonies next. ;) :P

According to DRF Live...

Aiden O’Brien hasn’t completely decided, but is debating on sending Broome and Sydney Opera House to the BC Juvenile Turf, but Just Wonderful is a sure thing for the race. b]Gustav Klimt[/b] is “possible” for the Mile.

Mo Don’t No, the 2016 Ohio HOTY and a MSW, is possible for the Dirt Mile.

John Velasquez is set to ride Code of Honor in the Juvenile and Irad Ortiz is set to ride Mind Control.

The guys on TVG said that Mike Smith has decided to ride Abel Tasman in the Distaff after her nice recent workout. Johnnie V. picks up the mount on Midnight Bisou.

Almost as shocking at Velasquez opting for a Pletcher mount!

(Not referring to Midnight Bisou).

Seems unusually quiet this year.
Or
Are you on the edge of your seat with excitement, having trouble sleeping at night in anticipation of the big day?
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

I see on RacingPost that John Gosden has decided to run Roaring Lion in the one-mile QEII, instead of the ten-furlong Champions Stakes, due the ground likely being softer on the long course than RL prefers.

I've always felt its better to wait until the last minute to get excited because a couple weeks can make the difference in who does or doesn't show up.

Same, and there hasn’t been just a whole lot of news recently so not really anything to discuss.

I saw an article that Oscar Performance is doing very well on Paulick, though.

Cracksman goes it alone in the Champion Stakes, then. I'll take Crystal Ocean over him as I think his best form might be behind him.

Pure Sensation out of the turf sprint per CC, Disco Partner still good to go.

Eskimo Kisses out of Distaff.

It's been so quiet on the news front, which I take to mean no news is good news, and I want all the fields to be drawn before I get too excited. Of course I'm impatient to get to the big day. I also think that depending on the race there isn't necessarily a standout horse everyone is rooting for most of the divisions.
And in my case with my boy in Ballydoyle, it's basically like they disappear off the face of the planet until their next start. They had started a twitter account but haven't updated it since this summer so. Nothing to feed me

Question for the Czarina......

Doesn't it seem logical that the big exotic wagers like the Pick 6 on BreedersCup Saturday should be a mandatory payout, no carryover to the next day of racing.

According to DRF...

Battle of Midway is not aiming for a title defense. He is being pointed toward the Comma to the Top Stakes at Santa Anita on October 28. The Comma Stakes is a two-turn mile like last year's Dirt Mile. "The owners wanted that, and I agreed," Hollendorfer said. "We're taking the long-term approach."

Limousine Liberal is under consideration for both the Dirt Mile and Sprint. Mom's On Strike is being pointed toward the Filly & Mare Turf.

Racingpost just released that Roaring Lion will be retired to stand stud for 2019. If he goes to the BC will depend on how he comes out of the race.

Promises Fulfilled to the sprint for Dale after working this morning. Biscuits to either Mile or Classic (most likely).
