colic. again. what's going on? "any time, any horse" but this is getting ridiculous. i'm ready for this to stop. think we all are.

It's commonly thought that changes in weather contribute to instances of colic. Considering the weather has been massively bi-polar could be part of it.

huh, i didn't know that. interesting if not incredibly upsetting. easy to forget how fragile and sensetive bodies are (of any animal) sometimes.

Horses have a tendency to drink less water when it's cold out and the water is cold or freezing, and colic instances can definitely spike (not necessarily saying this is what happened to poor Laughing, but I know I worry about it with my OWN horses!).

Regardless of the cause, this really SUCKS. R.I.P. Laughing :cry:

Ditto on worrying about the extreme changes in temperature - the difference in overnight temps where I live in South Florida over the last 3 nights is close to 30 degrees F, we get back to warm in muggy next few days. Laughing was way too young to go :cry:
