So exciting! And I'm sure a bit of a relief for those who invested in Frankel as a sire in one way or an other
Hopefully the next ones can keep it up. Would be sensational if his fist crop is consistently good. There's Uncle Mo on the other side of the pond... Here comes Frankel?

While he may not have much of a race record, he is a handsome horse, and that pedigree!
I really hope he does well as a stallion, especially since we aren't going to be seeing many more (or any more?) sons of the late, great Storm Cat at stud.

MACY'S ATTITUDE FIRST WINNER FOR LENTENOR
By Mary Reeder
Lentenor, a full brother to the ill-fated 2006 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) winner Barbaro, gained his first winner when filly Macy's Attitude won a maiden special weight July 11 at Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort.

A 9-year-old by Dynaformer out of La Ville Rouge (Carson City), Lentenor retired to Indiana Stallion Station in 2014 and his 2016 fee was $2,000. He has six 2-year-olds in his first crop.

Lentenor posted a 4-3-3 record from 17 career starts and earned $184,406 in four seasons. He won the Kitten’s Joy Stakes on the turf at Colonial Downs, his only stakes victory. As a 3-year-old he placed fourth in the Florida Derby (gr. I) and at age 4 set at Tampa Bay Downs turf course record for 1 1/16 miles in an allowance optional-claiming race.

Macy’s Attitude broke sharply and pursued the pacesetter from second. She was full of run when that rival faded at the sixteenth pole and pulled away to win by five lengths in :54.68 for the 4 1/2-furlong race.

Bred by Calumet Farm, Macy's Attitude is the seventh winner produced by the stakes-winning Gone West mare Pulsatilla. Tommy Short, who owns her in partnership with Robert Heyer, trains the filly.

Flat Out gets first winner from first starter at #Keeneland
Freshman sire watch is on! The durable runner Flat Out recorded his first winner from his first starter, as Flat Drunk rallied to prevail in her career debut at Keeneland.

The filly, bred and co-owned by Bryan and Gray Lyster, is out of the Lion Heart mare Feline Flatline.

Flat Out, standing at Spendthrift Farm, won or placed in 17 stakes and bankrolled more than $3.6 million while racing from ages 2 to 6. He won two editions of the Jockey Club Gold Cup and finished third in another, captured two editions of the Suburban Handicap, and finished third in the Breeders' Cup Classic. He also showed the miler ability that can be the hallmark of a good stallion, winning the Cigar Mile and finishing third in the Met Mile. Other career highlights included runner-up efforts in two editions of the Woodward, a second and a third in two editions of the Whitney Handicap, and a third in the Clark Handicap.
