I think it's usually ~$30 for a full season, but I know they discount during the year, so you may be able to get it for around $15 right now. Just be aware that it's an automatic renewal (I think), so you'd have to call or chat or whatever to cancel if you decided not to continue with it next season. But as a new Nascar fan, I think you might enjoy it.

Unless he gets hurt, Kenseth will be running every race through the finale on November 22nd.

I haven't really decided if I'm a "fan" yet, but I enjoyed watching the one race I did. I will have to look into the scanner, I'm intrigued.

Thanks!!

Kenseth went from 14th to 3rd in the first 20 laps before he wrecked. 11 spots! I'm still bummed. He probably had the car to beat! Uggghhh.

Also, I love NBC for getting in on the throwback fun. The broadcasters were wearing 70s outfits and the network even played the old "Hey kid" Coke commercial! And it's sort of ironic that one of the few regular paint schemes won the throwback race.

Matt Kenseth gets 4th win of year as Chase for the Cup field finalized

Matt Kenseth said Friday that sometimes he's surprised how his car races at Richmond International Raceway because the drivers practice during the day but race under different conditions at night.

Denny Hamlin wins first Chase race; Harvick left fuming at Johnson

Denny Hamlin punched his ticket into the next round of the Chase, winning despite a torn right ACL. Hamlin beat Kurt Busch and Jeff Gordon on the final restart with five laps remaining. Hamlin, who recovered from an early spin, did not pit on the last pit stop. Crew chief Dave Rogers took a chance and they stayed out on older tires. Hamlin hurt his knee Sept. 8 while playing basketball.

$5 part eliminates six-time Cup champ Johnson

There's no such thing as a lock since NASCAR created its elimination-style format for the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

Just ask Jimmie Johnson.

Frantic finish at Talladega oddly creates a letdown for fans, drivers

Dale Earnhardt Jr. climbed from his Chevy on the Talladega Superspeedway's pit road, grabbed a towel and wiped his brow. He'd just finished second in a win-or-nothing elimination scenario at his favorite racetrack, where he'd managed to overcome a miscue by his pit crew, a miscue of his getting onto pit road and a late charge through the field reminiscent of his father's legendary Talladega runs.

Despite mediocre season, Jeff Gordon just might be the Chase driver to beat

Let's cut to the Chase: Jeff Gordon has had a mediocre season.

Fortunately for the four-time Sprint Cup champion, he has had the best of mediocre seasons. The Hendrick Motorsports driver remains alive in the Chase for the Sprint Cup; he's tied with seven others atop the standings with just four races remaining.

Jeff Gordon's fairytale season reaches new heights

A grandfather clock is far better than a gold watch.

All in due time.

For now, Jeff Gordon's sublime final season as a full-time Sprint Cup driver continued to defy expectation and common sense on Sunday, as he used his ninth career win at Martinsville Speedway to collect not only the ornamental time piece that serves as its trophy but a chance at one more championship before he retires at the end of the season.

Surefire win slips away from Brad Keselowski at Texas

Brad Keselowski stepped out of his race car, walked down pit road to have a brief conversation with Martin Truex Jr. and trudged on, running his right hand through his hair dejectedly.

NASCAR's championship four a dream class

One of the strangest seasons in NASCAR history got another bizarre twist in setting the field for its championship race Sunday night at Phoenix International Raceway.

Jeff Gordon goes out with grace in finale

There were smiles and there were tears, but there was no storybook ending for Jeff Gordon.

The 44-year-old will retire after 797 races, 93 wins and four championships. An incredible first-ballot Hall of Fame career. But there will be no fifth championship as a send-off into the next phase of his career as a broadcaster and more frequent attendee of kids’ birthday parties and soccer games.
