no rocks in the pillow case! that's cheating!
Unfortunately for Conor, it's a boxing match, not a fight, and he's got no boxing skills that belong in a ring with a skilled boxer of Mayweather's caliber. It's going to be an embarrassing night cap to Travers Day.Somnambulist wrote:Much to my mother's dismay, I know nothing about the fights.
But I know an overlay in those Vegas odds when I see one.
i can find it free, online for you.BaroqueAgain1 wrote:I've never paid for any Mayweather fight, and I'm not about to start now. Even if I knew I was going to get watch Conor beat the snot out of The Mouth, I wouldn't do it.
He's not getting a penny from me. I say let the IRS haul him off.
• Walked away feeling like this was a satisfying, entertaining event. I feel Floyd had a strategy to carry the fight into the later rounds for two reasons....1) being aggressive early would have opened him to getting exposed to the big punch, which was the only way he was going to ever lose, and 2) he knew he'd be the better more fit fighter in the later rounds.BaroqueAgain1 wrote:BA1, what happened?
Why ask me?
I thought I was pretty clear that I wasn't going to be watching this fight.
But, yes, I have seen the results. The commentators I saw said that Conor did better than expected for a total boxing newbie. And that Floyd looked his age, but was still capable enough to get the win. Tenth round TKO, IIRC?
Now, did I read correctly? Did McGregor get a $100 million payday for this fight? Not bad for the rough-and-tumble Irishman...I just hope he doesn't decide to blow it on Mayweather-style excess and invests it.
