Two years ago today I had that horrendous Whipple operation. It's been quite a journey to get back to a semblance of normalcy, but I believe I've reached that goal. It's not as good as it once was, but it's good. I'm so blessed to be a survivor of pancreatic cancer.

I have no stats, but it doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of those around, big congrats!
Be well.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Congrats! You certainly beat some odds.

Everything I know about the Whipple operation I learned from that Grey's Anatomy season 1 episode.

I forgot about this! I was thinking of this episode, where Cristina Yang wanted to do a Whipple procedure on Ellis Grey's former scrub nurse: http://greysanatomy.wikia.com/wiki/Elizabeth_Fallon
