Danny Willett hears it from the pro-American crowd at Ryder Cup

Danny Willett really had no idea what to expect during his first career match in the pressure-packed Ryder Cup.

When it came to the partisan American crowd, he knew exactly what was coming.

Americans win 3 of 4 afternoon four-ball matches for 3-point lead

The Americans are making all the right moves in this Ryder Cup.

Even Tiger Woods.

Europe was riding the momentum as it inched within one point Saturday at Hazeltine. U.S. captain Davis Love III heard conflicting ideas on the radio and by text message from his assistant captains, all of them weighing in with the best lineup for the final session of team matches. The question was regarding Patrick Reed and Jordan Spieth, the only Americans who had yet to sit out.

United States takes victory in rowdy Ryder Cup

While perhaps not the best team ever assembled, the Americans were every bit of a team in finally winning back the Ryder Cup.

Phil Mickelson led the Americans behind closed doors, Patrick Reed powered them with his passion on the golf course and Ryan Moore, who a week ago wasn't even on the team, delivered the cup-clinching point Sunday at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota.
