Disco Partner just won the Belmont Turf Sprint Invitational in his patented 'eat my afterburner dust' charge in the stretch. Just missed the track record, according to the TVG guy.
If the little grey NY-bred doesn't come west for the BC Turf Sprint, I will be very disappointed. :P

Vale Dori will not run in the 2017 Breeders’ Cup, trainer Bob Baffert said Sunday at Santa Anita. The 5-year-old mare, runner-up by a neck to Stellar Wind in successive Grade 1 races in spring and summer, will be freshened for a “couple months” and return for the winter meet at Santa Anita. Vale Dori won five successive graded stakes prior to finishing second to Stellar Wind.

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

^^^Thought you'd like that.

Per #Keeneland notes, Shadwell winner Suedois likely for @BreedersCup Mile, stablemate Mondialiste likely retired. Both leave here Tuesday.

Not surprising news about Mondialiste. He hasn't seemed to recover the form that he had last year...or was it 2015?

Mondialiste won the Arlington Million last year and earned $1.8 million over his career. It'll be interesting to see where he ends up.

Baffert also said Cupid is under consideration for the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile, but he has to talk to ownership. Classic is unlikely.

Today's LA Woman at Santa Anita wasn't technically a Breeders' Cup prep, but it saw the successful return of that big grey bullet train, Unique Bella. She didn't break all that well, but still ended up winning for fun. She looked great.
Mike Smith said after the race that it may have been better that she had to work a bit to pass the field for the win, as she got more out of the race than she would have if she broke on top and just cantered off with the win. :P ;)

Been following her since she came over. She is BC nominated.

War Flag finished 1st by a head, on October 8, 2017, at BELMONT PARK in Race 8.
Off odds: 9.60
Your comments for this horse were: 2013 War Front - Black Speck, by Arch; Shug for Allen; Grp winner in France

Is Shug talking about running her in the BC Turf at 12 furlongs? Wasn't the Flower Bowl a prep for the F&M Turf (which is going to be run at only 9 furlongs at Del Mar, IIRC)?

I think the Flower Bowl was a WAYI for the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf. I assumed that's the race they're considering.

The Turf Sprint is shaping up to be one for the ages. We could see Lady Aurelia, Bataash, Disco Partner, Buchero and maybe even Caravaggio in that race.
I know I'm forgetting the Cali sprinters. Who have I missed?
