SHARP AZTECA RETIRES FROM RACING
After nine months of his last appearance, Sharp Azteca will be retired from racing. Ownership has decided to move to the next chapter with this magnificent horse. For now, Sharp Azteca will remain at Gelfenstein Farm in Ocala. No decision has been made where he’ll begin his new career as a stallion.

With all the recent discussions of who is headed to the BC Dirt Mile, I had wondered where this horse was. Sorry we won't get to see him race again, but I hope this very fast horse is supported as a stallion. Like the Freud/Storm Cat on top and Saint Liam on the bottom.

I've been waiting for this plus Cloud Computing and Tapwrit. Tapwrit was already announced as going to Gainesway when he was done racing. I would imagine it will be in 2019.

We have a winner! Just goes to show he was a tough son of a gun. Or sound. Probably both.

That's terribly disappointing. Alpha Centauri looked like the top-quality miler who could come here and repeat Goldikova's multi-Mile victories.
Saxon Warrior may have had to deal with setbacks (like how sick he got) that interfered with his chances to prove how good he was. Sorry that his career has been cut short, but I hope he gets a chance to make his mark as a stallion, at Coolmore, I presume.

What a shame about Alpha Centauri and Saxon Warrior, two very talented horses. Hope they are successful in the breeding shed.

Today we announce the retirement of one of the best horses we have had the privilege to train. American Gal, a homebred for Kaleem Shah, heads to KY to begin her second career @HillnDaleFarm. She was a winner of the hugely important G1 Test Stakes at 3 & G1 Humana Distaff at 4.

Wonder who they'll send her to. A commercial stallion naturally.
