That is a great name
I know! Gorgeous filly too, a dark bay. There has to be a story behind it.

Despite running erratically down the stretch, Blue Prize won the Spinster (G1) at Keeneland.

Wouldn't be surprised if the bloodwork comes back and Abel Tasman is sick. It's true they aren't machines but you'd have thought she'd at least hit the board even if she was just having an off day.

Nice to see Vale Dori bounce back; I was beginning to think her best days were behind her.
her last 5 races, she was 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st - in order. she just took all season to remember what she was doing

Rushing Fall is such a joy to watch. She took it to them in QE Challenge Cup and kicked away to post a 1 1/4 length win.

In the just-run Pin Oak Valley View for 3yo fillies at Keeneland, I'm not sure who won the race...but I'm fairly sure the 5 is going to be DQ'd from whatever spot she had.
Daddy Is a Legend was coming up the rail inside the 5, and looked like she was taking the lead. The 5 leaned into her...and DIaL was pushed THROUGH the rail (thank goodness for those flexible rails) and into the infield. Her jock wasn't unseated during the incident, but has now dismounted. The Scat Daddy filly is being tended to in the infield. Really hope she wasn't injured. :(
ETA: No change. The review by the stewards showed that, while it was tight along the rail, the 5 did nothing wrong. Daddy Is a Legend veered into and jumped the rail on her own. Manny Franco is fine and the filly also appears to have come out of this OK.

I just saw that race and wondered about that, particularly since the rider on the outside horse was using the right handed stick (not that there was room to use the left hand. . . ). That was a very small hole. . .

the eclipse awards were as baffling as the BC. i'll forever hold a grudge for everyone who voted against her.

Vexatious Takes Dowager On Disqualification

https://www.paulickreport.com/news/thor ... ification/

~ It was by disqualification, but she ran a winning race just the same and is a good filly with even better connections.

This raises a big question.

Who is being pointed to the Pegasus? I haven't really seen anyone mention it as much as last year.

Will Mendelssohn, Accelerate, etc head for the Pegasus before hitting the shed or are they done now?

This could be epic...

Trainer @johnwsadler said Accelerate will make his final start in the @PegasusWorldCup before he goes to stud at @LanesEndFarms. Said he'll be shown as a stallion there this week, then to go Calif to train, then to Pegasus, "a la Gun Runner last year."

Any truth to the story that both Abel Tazmin and Vale Dori have been retired? I think I saw it on Paulick.
I'm screaming in pain from a fall last week, and bad back is involved. Any spelling mistakes I have come from no concentration. Put a hand in front of me right now and I would bite it.
