hmmm wasn't The Real Mayo owned by someone(Jas) from TBC for awhile? I believe they claimed her, bred her and resold her. Pretty interesting she produced a Mexican Triple Crown winner. The owner, Jas, was one of the posters that didn't come back after the big crash when we lost everything.

Or did she own this mare's dam, Mayo on the Side (God bless her)?

No. If she owned one of them it was a daughter of Mayo on the Side. The only reason I say that is because I remember the horse (if I am remembering right) was claimed out of a cheap claiming race and they retired her to be a broodmare. The Real Mayo fits that, she was claimed for $10,000 in July 2011.

I think you're right that Jas owned The Real Mayo. Her name and her dam's name jumped off the page at me because I remembered that story.

As an aside, does anyone know if the Clasico Del Caribe will be televised or streamed anywhere? Looks interesting.

Kukulkan won easily. He’s now 14 for 14.

That's a nice horse. Impressive run today. I'll be paying a lot more attention to him from here on out...

I wonder where Kukulkan will go next? He's got nothing left to prove in Mexico and he'd earn more money running in the lowest-level stakes races here than in G1 races down there.
