    Rachel schooling in the paddock

I hate when I am taking pictures from the side with that white-rimmed eye, because it makes her look nervous. Honestly, nothing could be farther from the truth. She was a super-cool customer. Very alert and aware and checking us all out (probably pushing three dozen people staring at her in the stall), but not nervous or fidgety at all. I am not waxing poetic--I swear, when they played the call to the post for the field she was schooling with, she pricked her ears and stepped forward. It was the one time she fidgeted. She's so smart and is so professional. It was fun to watch all the people in the paddock point and clap; no one left to go back to their seats for the next race.

She looks grand! Great pics, Railbird.

The last horse I remember having an eye like that was Cigar. He wasn't too shabby, either.

She looks like she's packed on more hind end muscle since the Haskell. Sheesh.

Un-hunh. In build, I think she looks more like her daddy with each passing month.

teehee...she's a drooler. That's one thing that just tickles me when I take my horses up for races. Some just drool and foam like the dickens, others sit there and chew at the bit or the air, and the good 'ol pros just stand there like it's no biggie. I feel sorry for whoever gets my numbered apron after I take a one up...they are covered in horsey spit! :cheesy:

That is a white haw she inherited from someone....;-)) You can see her eye itself is calm.

Look at the ground she covers just walking--that reach. Photo 5.

MM I know you don't like her narrow head but boy, I think she is a beautiful TB. Classic. What they should look like with so much type.

Is that Steve Blasi leading her? It doesn't look quite like him, but I can't think who else it would be.

It looks like Steve Blasi in casual clothes.

Rachel is really beautiful in the flesh; she seems like she has only grown more into herself and gotten better looking since I saw her in New Orleans last spring.

I just noticed that they braided her to school in the paddock. Now, THAT'S attention to detail. Kudos to Asmussen for running such a tight ship.

Wow! She is gorgeous!! And, is it just me, or is she quite tall!? Whatever, she is amazing! I love the look in her eye and how she's very curious about what is going on around her. Her blaze is cool too - it's like someone had her body colour paint on their hand and they put their palm on her forehead over the white...making it brown (or dark bay which I think she actually would be?). Very neat.

I noticed she has the chain through her mouth...thought this was more a colt thing? Or is she just frisky? LOL!

    Definitely a looker!!!
