Summer Breezing won, Margano took second. Looked like he wasn't going anywhere, then he finally got it in gear just a bit too late.

He ran as well as can be expected. Two 2nds for the Barabaro brothers this weekend. They were both beaten by good horses.

He was running well at the end. Looked like he hung a bit, then decided, "OK, let's go!"

I thought Margano's performance was quite nice. He momentarily lost focus in the stretch, swapped leads and showed some very nice acceleration to finish 2nd. I will be interested in seeing how he does next time out.

Cheers to Margano ... only lost by a half length.

It was a turf race. The winning margin is deceptive. He ran a very good race but the winner is a monster that could have won that race by 10 if he wanted to.

Perhaps, but who knows what Margano could've done ... IF HE WANTED TO?

He may have found where he belongs. May be a turf miler. The winner appears to be a Breeders Cup caliber horse.

He didn't miss third by much and he was running well at the end. Hopefully, he'll do better next time.

Lentenor won the Kitten Joy Stakes, so happy for him and his connections. Good win for Lenny and his jockey Sheldon Russell.

Good to see. Also, Sheldon is one of the more underrated jockeys around.

Lentenor's first stakes win! I bet the Jacksons were delighted.
