Top Meadowlands trainer with court setback
Lou Pena — the leading trainer at the Meadowlands Racetrack for the last two years — was unsuccessful in his bid to obtain a preliminary injunction preventing Gural from banning Pena from the track. Gural did not offer Pena a reason for the ban, but in court documents Gural referred to “no less than 15 infractions” by various horse racing boards alleging improper conduct.
