    Fun at Gulfstream today

First race, maiden claimers, 12 horse field, odds of the first 4 finishers are 11-1, 14-1,26-1,110-1, resulting in a $1 superfecta payoff of $182,099.

Second race, maiden state breds. More Anon gets loose in the post parade, scratch. Jamie's Boy gets hurt in the starting gate, scratch. Mordi's Miracle breaks from the 1 hole, makes a hard left, dumps Johnny V, and gallops the wrong way around the track while the race is running, fortunately staying on the outside rail.

    Can't wait for the 3rd.

Did anyone else notice that Desert Wheat (multiple stakes winner) finished 4th in his 9YO debut today?
What is it about single-toed ungulates running around an oval for approximately 90 seconds that inspires people to bet billions of dollars and devote their entire lives to the activity?

Since there was only $24,000 in the Super pool, I'm guessing there was one dime winner for $18,000, congrats nice hit.

GP outriders save the race, if not the day:

Is Desert Wheat at G.P., now????? I love him. He;s a LA. bred....Been running for years. I was once in the winners circle with him in the Gentilly Cap at LA.DOWNS after Katrina hit and they had the F.G. meet at La. Downs...I know Bill Mott never brought any of his horses here this year. He should have DW here as he's a La. bred and could win here. But i wish they would retire him because he;s so old and has won enough money...There;s nothing left for him to do. Sure wish they would give him a good retirement..He ran 4th....in open company...I love this horse ..He means a lot to me and wish they would bring him back to the F.G. which he loved and won many races here. But thanks for the info on this horse.
