Nice!
Great shots! Towhee's are one of my favourite birds. I'll go through my shots when I can and find all of my good bird pictures. I really need to get out and do some birdwatching soon. We have a Bald Eagle festival coming up in November. It's always incredible to go to that. Last year I got to hold a Harris's Hawk - my favourite hawk. It was an absolute thrill! I've got a video that I took at the Calgary Zoo last month of a Burrowing Owl hissing at a Swift Fox in the next enclosure.
I am still under the impression that there is nothing alive quite so beautiful as a thoroughbred horse.

Here's the little bird that took me to Michigan this May.
This is a male Kirtland's Warbler. They are an endangered species. For most of the year they live in the Bahamas. They migrate to North America to nest in very limited areas of northern Michigan (Grayling & Mio). The US wildlife service does free tours to their nesting areas.
I had a great time in Michigan. If anyone here is a crazy birder like me, I highly recommend a trip to Mighigan to see the Kirtland's Warbler.
Not the best shots as the bird was some distance from us and at the end of my lens focus range.

Absolutely beautiful! I love seeing unusual birds. I've seen a few here that really shouldn't have been here - its very exciting!

Nice pictures; I love birds. Of your photos, I like the towhee and the Coopers Hawk the best.

I love chasing the rare ones. I belong to several Rare Bird Alerts for the Southern California area. I've had some luck in chasing the rarities that show up around these parts.

Here's a few pelagic birds. I've been on two pelagic trips this year.
1) Common Murre
2) Rhiniceros Auklet
3) Black-footed Albatross
4)Manx Shearwater - This was a really good bird for the pacific coast. They are normally an east cost bird.

A few birds from this weekend. I tagged along with my father and my son on their fishing trip. We went up to Big Pine & Bishop in the Eastern Sierras in California.
The bird of the trip for me was the Black-billed Magpie.

Here are some birds from my trip to Wilmington NC. The black one I believe is a Common Grackle. The last one is my best friend's bird Forest. He is a Quaker Parakeet. He talks and one of his favorite phrases is "I'm cute" so I put that in the photo. He is quite spiteful though and does not like other people. He's bitten me several times and once he ruined one of my gold earrings bending it in half. If he lands on the floor he will chase my feet and one time bit me drawing blood through socks. Yeah he's not a very nice boy. But I watch him when my friend goes on vacation. In fact I bought him as a gift for her. Ironic I know...
