It was the La. Bred Premier Night Championship S, right? Or is that the same thing? At any rate, his 8th consecutive win, by my count.

Star Guitar is without a doubt one of my favorite horses in training. Good for him and for Al Stall!!

Just watched the replay. He made it look soooo easy. Love that guy!
I also saw that earlier on the card, Beanwah'smachine finally lost a race. Didn't see the replay on that one, but he finished 8th and the chart says "no threat". Oh well, can't win 'em all.
not that it matters but i think his first win there wasn't in the classic.
nope..i am wrong
Delta Downs: Despite slop, Star Guitar scores in Premier Night Championship
The remarkable Star Guitar splashed through the slop and won his fourth consecutive $200,000 Premier Night Championship on Saturday night a Delta Downs, drawing clear for a 3 1/4- length victory over a racing surface his connections believe he disliked.
Racing over a sloppy track he appeared to dislike, Star Guitar, ridden by Corey Lanerie, wins the Premier Night Championship for the fourth time.
Star Guitar typically presses or stalks the leaders in his races, but after breaking from post 10 and dropping to the back of the field under Corey Lanerie, Star Guitar was last as the field hit the backstretch run and only eighth after six furlongs of the 1 1/16-mile race had been completed.

Water wet, Pope Catholic, Star Guitar wins
Thanks for this info. I never knew if he won or not. Was nothing in our paper. I knew DD had a big nite sat. for La. bred. SO happy he won. I love Star Guitar. I think he;s now the leading La. bred in money won. He probably beat Happy Ticket's money won. He can run in anything. Sure hope he comes back to the F.G. to run. But it would have to be the N.O. CAP.....Mrs. Benoit loves him so much. I know she must have kissed him several times. Glad for her and Al Stall. Sorry tohear her other horse lost, Beanwah'smachine. He's so nice, too. She own's him, too. Brittlynstables, she and her husband. Congrats to SG and all the connections. Must have been a great nite for DD.
