    Big Brown suffers laceration, will skip Southern Hemisphere season

    Champion Big Brown, winner of the 2008 Kentucky Derby and Preakness, will not be shuttling to Vinery Australia for the 2012 Southern Hemisphere breeding season, according to a release from Three Chimneys Farm.

    Insolvent lived up to her favoritism at SAR. She didn't mind the sloppy main track when the race came off the turf and won handily.

    $1.3 Million Big Brown Colt Nears First Start

    The $1.3 million Big Brown colt that was the most expensive 2-year-old in training sold this year at public auction is nearing his first career start, according to Demi O'Byrne, a member Coolmore Stud's buying team. The bay juvenile is under the care of multiple Eclipse Award-winning trainer Todd Pletcher.

    Winner by about 2 1/2! She was moving away at the end too. Inner rail was shattered by the leader and she was hampered but angled out nicely and won with ease, but Steward's Enquiry going on, but she'll likely keep it.
