Too tired and too late to be clever

Today's race gave a brand new meaning to the term "Cat Scratch Fever!"

It was the Cheetah (Ruffian) and
the Tiger Dancer from the Gate
in an all out claw fest

They could have run as a coupled entry considering how many they had
alike

They separated themselves from the
field right out of the gate

KD and Real Quiet for the Colts
in behind the Big Cat Duo trying to prevent a lead from getting too big
to overcome

Dusty, Horse Crazy Gal, CT and
TY88 all off to very slow start

Dusty got her mojo running in Race 5

Criminal Type and TY88
running on empty the first half

Horse Crazy Gal never really into it

And then it happened

Just when we all thought whiskers
would hit the wire first

Scratches again affected the race

But this time it was not the Cat claws scratching to the wire

It was the KD Comeback Kid who came back with some roars of his own as
he got the benefit of not just 1 Scratch but 2
Scratches in Race 5

His 2nd alt paid a whopping $48.60
moving him just in behind Ruffian and a nose in front of Tiger Dancer

And then the Rare (if Ever?) happened
Going into R9 it was a DH

Ruffian who led from the start -
KD who pulled the Shocker of the day

Tiger Dancer with no shot since she
had the same R9 pick as Ruffian

It all came down to (Ironically)
Cat Speak or Virginia Park

Much to the sorrow -
overwhelming disappointment
and shocking disbelief of the Fillies

Today's BOTS Victory had KD
Roaring or was that Laughing -
as Virginia Park ran 2nd paying $5
And Cat Speak whispered $3

Hey Buddy can you spare 2 bucks?

So what appeared to be
Whiskers at the wire all night -

KD turned into a whole lot of feline whimpering and whining at the end

I'm not sure CT. There may be an obscure reference to a Scorekeeper 3 peet award in one of Ruffians voluminous rulebooks and I'm sure we'll all hear about it from the "Ruff the Ref" herself shortly.
