I'm sure I'll get some photos of the lil girl tomorrow. Although from early accounts, she doesn't look to have any white. Second foal this year with no white. I knew that damn Dunkirk filly stole all the chrome for the next few years.
Congrats on that, and I love the match. I'm sure that you will post pics soon enough!

    Congratulations Jas!

I always think I'm the queen of plain bay foals. You may be angling to take over my crown. And I'm happy to give it up, lol.

    I can't wait for pictures.

Congrats! You've had a tough year so far so here's hoping things go smoothly from here.

I stand corrected... she's a chestnut filly with a tiny sliver of white on her front right foot. Who'da thunk I'd get a chestnut from those two? Maybe I got lucky and the Secretariat is coming to the fore. Evidently she has legs for days, funny since Linnea Cal is my smallest mare.
Nobody said giving Kirstie Alley a colonic would be easy.

I'm quite partial to chestnut fillies. She sounds like a nice one.

    Re: 2012 Foals

I love chestnut fillies too! Here she is at 14 hours old.

Look at the shoulder on that filly, wow! And what a pretty head. Your mare done good, Jas.

I love the way the Arch colt is refusing to pose, lol. Who me? Camera? I don't think so.

    Re: 2012 Foals

I have to say, I couldn't have asked for a better physical filly than the Perfect Soul girl. As of right now, which isn't saying a whole lot in the grand scheme of things as you well know, she's impressive.

The Arch colt is ALL BOY. He has this attitude about him and tears across the field all day long. Never had one that just wanted to constantly run like this one. There's a Devil His Due colt and a Hold Me Back filly in the same field as him and he is constantly trying to force them to run.

We had a More Than Ready colt like that a few years ago. He was such an instigator. He was the best foal in the world to take pictures of because he was always getting up to something.

    Re: 2012 Foals

So while we were waiting for Shriek--who has looked "ready" for about a week--to foal, her dam TBird decided to jump ahead in line and deliver two weeks early.

filly by Pulpit, born late last night:

Oh, how darling she is, Tbird! And that kissy spot right square on her nose. She's a nice, strong looking filly. Congratulations and best of luck with her.

    Thanks Native Diver!

Jas, we got our chestnut filly too. Shriek had an enormous foal by Candy Ride earlier this morning. So another "all filly" year for us.

    Re: 2012 Foals

She's PRETTY! Look at her! She looks like a strong filly. LOVE!!!

I have only colts still coming. So I can't complain, even if they're all plain. LoL

    Re: 2012 Foals

I would never complain about colts, LOL. No matter what color they were.

I saw that Ring Seeker's 2yo had a nice work at OBS and went on to sell well yesterday.

    Re: 2012 Foals

Yeah, he sold pretty well. He had a few issues which kept his price down but in this market, for a Corinthian, 100k isn't bad.
