I've always been interested in this horse, though I can't find much(anything) to read about him. Can anyone who saw him run tell me anything about him?
I've liked a lot of horses related to him. Rockamundo, Inside Information, Educated Risk, Smuggler, You'd Be Surprised, Kona Gold, Soaring Softly, Kamar, etc.

One of my favorite horses of all time, trained by one of my favorite trainers. Never saw him race, but saw him many many times at Greentree, and then later at Gainesway. A most handsome horse, although his back was a bit flat for some. He had a bit of a club foot too, but it didn't hold him back.

There are plenty of articles in the SI.com vault about this horse. Site loads pretty slowly, but is worth it once it does!

I would imagine there would be info in the New Yorker as well, that magazine used to cover horse racing quite well.

I wish I could access the Newsweek articles by Pete Axthelm from that era. I have some paper copies somewhere. Great stuff.
