Well that was easy. If she doesn't get into the Oaks they will kick themselves.

She looked like she was out for a morning work. I felt bad for Glinda.

She is a nice filly but she really beat nothing. I am not putting her in the Plum Pretty category yet.

LOL. That might be why it looked like a work.
Who did PP beat in last year's Sunland Oaks?

Plum Pretty was much more impressive. This filly is not that nice of a mover. Something off with her.

She beat more then Plum Pretty did last year.

This race wasn't the first choice. She missed a work or two in February for some reason so they had to adjust. That little break in training would still be my concern, although I saw nothing wrong with today's run. Her race was even better considering this isn't how she would prefer to run. She just broke so well that she never gave them a chance. Nobody could put any serious pressure on her. Almost too easy. She could probably race next week, if she's ok.

Keep her healthy and run her long.

I'd have to see her get out of a gallop to know...and of course a filly who won by 22 is more impressive. But this one won just as easy, never asked at all.

Anyway, who cares? Her connections and fans can enjoy for now, and see what happens next.

I like her, but I have to think there is a reason why she does not have a graded stakes win yet. Not that sound?

It could have been a quarter crack for all we know. As Spahny pointed out, she lost some time. Bob and John Fort (owner) like this spot. They must know what they are doing by now...

You would think so, but come May 4 they will be looking pretty stupid if they don't get in. I think she will get in and don't think it is that big a deal if she doesn't, but I wonder if they just overlooked the lack of graded stakes money.

    Not a chance.
And last year, they had to sweat PP for a little bit, too. And she had some graded earnings before the SO romp.

Trust me, we can discuss til the cows come home but these guys know what they are doing. Probably just doing what is best for her development for now, and if she is right for Oaks, and gets in, great. If not, there are plenty of other Gr. 1's for her.

She looked fine today. You might be a little cockeyed though.
