Thread: The Wood Memorial (G1)

    The Wood Memorial (G1)

Field not announced, but probables include the following:

    Alpha
    Brimstone Island (!!!)
    Casual Trick
    Cozzetti
    Gemologist (!!!!!)
    My Adonis
    Prospective
    Street Life
    Teeth of the Dog
    The Lumber Guy
    Tiger Walk

Looks a little tougher for Gemologist than I had first thought. And The Colonel will probably figure out why I put the exclamation points next to both the two horses above.

That is not exactly a tough field. Gemologist should win that race if he is top notch. Looks pretty mediocre to me.

Alpha, though he's won a couple of stakes, could stand to be faster, for sure. The unknown quantity for me is The Lumber Guy, a horse with some definite up side. And Street Life's numbers are on the upswing too. These are late-developers, you simply don't know when they will come through with a big one. Look at the Louisiana Derby, for example.

I like Street Life in this spot.

I love the horses entered because the four I like all have to prove the same thing: that they can run faster! All four have shown talent, have nice pedigree for longer, but so far have not been very fast. It'll be interesting to see which one steps up.

I bet it's gonna be Alpha, Gemologist, and My Adonis in the top 3.

I have to give you credit for saying one stupid thing after another and never veering off your path of idiocy.

Would Cigar Street have been favored in here too?

@DerbyMedia: Assistant trainer Norman Casse reports Prospective will target April 14 Toyota Blue Grass and not Saturday's Wood.

The odds of that are about the same as you ever picking a horse before a race. Let me guess, you had the 100-1+ winner of the Louisiana Derby with your make believe money. LOL

I'm sorry that I don't feel any need to prove myself to you or anybody else to achieve some credibility in this business.

And you don't want any part of me, here or anywhere. I've seen enough of how you think, and not think, and how you have no clue how much you don't know. Your constant stupidity in search of attention is sad, and makes these forums less than they could/should be sometimes.

Did West Point add any new partners off the perfomance of their maiden colt in the LA Derby yesterday? I recall you lecturing me on how partnerships operate, so I'm curious.

You can say all you want. Nate's Mineshaft won for me yesterday and that is all I am concerned about. You know with real money. LOL

As for West Point, they were right to put him in there. The winner ran a 90 beyer, you didn't have to think much of your horse to enter him in that field.

A 100-1 shot won the race, so your reasoning is sort of out the window. Any horse on any day and WP knows it.

You need more than a 9-1 shot to offset the cavalry charge of losers you've shared with the world in just the past few days. But congratulations on cashing, if indeed that wasn't just fantasy world internet BS about betting real money. Safe enough for you, nobody knows one way or the other so you can say whatever you want.

And you're wrong about West Point. All it did was give the other partnerships they compete with for clients more ammunition to grab a bigger share of the market. They're desperate and swinging for the fences against better judgment a lot more than in the past. Or was running Suns Out Guns Out in the Gotham smart too even though the favorite won?

But please share the next time the 2012 HOY is in the gate. I'd be tempted to finally bet real money on something.

Look at my selections of the last few days. BOOM. COLD $65 exacta, Nate on top of MI. BOOM, COLD $29 exacta Tagg horse/Upkeep at GP.

Thanks for playing clowns, but I probably won more money this weekend than you get in your government welfare checks. LOL

But you lost more than you won when you add up all of your picks on the weekend, right?

Yeah, that is funny. Why don't you do the homework, and you will see what a large profit margin I had if you add up all my picks.

GO AHEAD. I will be laughing in your face after you take the time to do it and then realize just how big a profit you would have had if you just bet $2 on my picks. Add another zero and you would see my profit margin.

Thanks for your money if you bet in the paramutual pools this weekend, but I guess that would have depending on whether or not your government checked showed up in time. LOL
