Looks like he might have a good one in Mamma Kimbo. Jemima's Pearl really took to the dirt after racing in Europe on turf and synthetics. Hard to pick between the 2 but i'll probably go with Mamma. Amie's Dini should be tough too.

I first noticed Mamma Kimbo after someone noticed Paynter, I compared the two over the same strip, and she was way faster. By Discreet Cat, the question of distance looms even larger than it would normally.

Damn I missed it will have to check out the replay. I'm thrilled MammaKimbo was able to carry her speed. Did she just hang on or win impressively?

Matt, the chart shows it sort of a merry-go-round race with Ami's Dini always about 2 back, made up a little ground around the turn but it doesn't sound as if MK was ever in trouble. Margin 1 1/4. Nice.

That's a pretty nice final time. Faster than Secret Circle's time at the same distance when he won the Rebel. I'm not sure how fast the track was playing compared to then, but probably a better Beyer than the colts have been running in their preps.

I just wonder about even another sixteenth for Mamma Kimbo, she held her margin pretty well late but the final split of 6.90 is worrisome, especially considering her pedigree. Still, a very nice race and good final time.
