Apple Blossom, Gr. 1, April 13

Now that Grace has bowed out as high weight at 123 pounds...

The Apple Blossom field possibles include It’s Tricky, 119; Plum Pretty, 117; Tiz Miz Sue, 115; Abinsthe Minded, 114; Twelve Twenty Two, 113, and She’s All In, 112. Entries for the race will be drawn Tuesday.

Seriously? Maybe as reigning HOTY she should run in open company then, instead of whining out of being the heavy weight. She SHOULD be giving a spread.

    Hope It's Tricky wins.

    Ditto.
Nobody said giving Kirstie Alley a colonic would be easy.

Not that 123 is much of a heavyweight. Which makes them complaining even worse.

Again it was the six pound spread to PP that made Porter pop a vein and Larry jump in his pick up to go get Grace and bring her to Keeneland.

I guess they thought about Oaklawn Cap for two seconds but once they boiled over with rage for Pope (racing secretary at OP, who also gave BL the two pounds last summer in Del Cap) they decided against that, too.

All it really says is what I've been saying all along. PP wins AB. 1 1/16th miles at OP right in her wheelhouse.

Almost makes me glad I'm making it a one-day trip this year--just Saturday. Would've been awesome if Grace went in the Oaklawn, but now at least I don't have to feel bitter and cheated all day Friday. (No offense to the fine horses who are running in the Apple Blossom.)

@DRFGrening: It looks like It's Tricky is staying home for the Distaff next Sat at AQU. She did not get on plane today and will likely skip Apple Blossom

Glad to see they are not putting her through a difficult ship for the sake of their own ducking and weaving.

I may have Plum Pretty in my fantasy stable thing, but does she really need all these mares ducking her? They are dropping like flies. She isn't really worth a walk over.
Unless maybe Baff does have her looking like the monster of the midway...

Pope gave her 118 against boys in Oaklawn Cap. Same as Ron, the SA Cap winner, and Donn winner, Hymm Book. Two less than Mission Impazible at 120?? Ok, Pope is on crack...

With HdG's defection, Hobby will send Tiz Miz Sue to the AB. http://www.drf.com/news/oaklawn-cozz...-derby-picture
