Welcome back once again race fans to world renowned Upside Downs, where the elite meet to greet, eat, and get beat!
Before today's feature race, another in the fan favorite boys vs. girls BOTS contests gets underway, we're proud to introduce a very special guest from far off Dubai! Ladies and Gents, please give a big round of applause to the man who each and every year brings the entire world an unmatched day of racing, His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum!

Sheikh Mo, as we affectionately know him, will be serving as Grand Marshall and starter for today's feature, and he's also brought along a dozen of his loyal yokels to serve as outriders. You can see them along the circumference of the track on horseback and decked out in their exotic native garb.

And now the horsies are stepping onto the track. A few seem to be a bit nonplussed by the sight of the unusual outriders and are shying back a bit, but now they're finally entering the gate. All in now and they're off!

GotaDunQH takes an early lead with the rest in a close pack behind except for El Prado and Tiger Dancer. A fairly slow pace for the first half mile and...oh...Tiger Dancer has pulled up and appears to be hurt. Yes, she's has gone lame and won't be able to continue. The others race on..but what's this? The outriders appear to be stopping the race! The horsies are all now being diverted and stopping! What's going on here? Wait a moment...Sheikh Mo is now at trackside and seems to be speaking with one of the outriders! He's directing him and the others to gather up our runners! KD is rearing up and Ruffian appeared to try to bite one of them! Not quite sure exactly what the heck is going on here race fans, but this contest is obviously over and refunds can be...but hold on just a minute! Sheikh Mo and his knaves are leading the entrants back to the starting gate! As unbelievable and reckless as it sounds it looks like we're going to run this race again!!!
OK, forget I said anything about refunds. Management has just informed me that the race will begin again as soon as the runners are back in the gate! I suppose they know what they're doing, and as long as they sign my pay check I'll continue to suppose that!

Alright, here we go again. They're all finally lined up and they're off! Not much speed at the start but let's give credit to these game competitors for even trying since...oh no, El Prado has just fallen! The others race on..but what's this? The outriders appear to be stopping the race once again! For crying out loud!
But it's not working this time as the horsies are having none of this nonsense! They're dodging around and through the caliphate cowboys and continuing to run on! They hit the top of the stretch with GotaDunHQ in the lead but now Ruffian roars forward and poses a threat! But suddenly Sheikh Mo runs out into the middle of the track and tries to flag them all down! He's either drunk or crazy, and since those guys aren't supposed to drink I know which I'll put my money on!
And down the stretch they come, and down beneath their hooves Sheikh Mo goes! They cross the finish line with GotaDunQH in front and Mo in last, flattened like a pancake!

Certainly the most shocking and unusual thing we've witnessed here at the Downs in, oh, at least a month or so, and I for one can only say...but hold on, it's seems the action isn't quite over yet! The robed riders are now trying to clear the horsies off the track so they can attend to Sheikh Mo but those equine avengers are fighting back like mad things! It's psychedelic pandemonium out there as the calamitous colts and fighting fillies join forces to battle the desert desperadoes! And finally the most heart warming sight of all as El Prado and Tiger Dancer limp onto the track and join their comrades by delivering a few final kicks and gouges as our grandstand resounds to inebriated chants of USA USA USA as the middle-east meddlers are nipped, nagged and niggled into a hopeless helpless hapless heap!!!

And now I suggest all of us clear the hell out of here before someone contacts the State Department. Goodnight from Upside Downs!!!
